Are you saying was saved by the Gospel in scripture or by a dream that prompted her to ask for the scriptures?

Saved by G-D. A dream made her ask for the Bible , she did not understand what she saw in dream. She said at the time , Something told her the answer was in the Bible, not in the hospital. She came home, walked a block to my house and asked could she "borrow" my Bible. And never looked back, I watched her for months, cry, scream, laugh and find the Lord while reading it.

That was almost 10 years ago. I just found out the dream recently. She told me a little , the gist of it but never details. I think I plugged my ears when she tried to really tell me.

She told me all of it when I emailed her a dream someone emailed me. A stranger off the net. Someone I have never met and neither has she.

She started crying again, it was a VERY similar dream.

However, I have heard several people tell their dreams, visions, and experiences as messages from God when they clearly contradict scripture. God does not, cannot, contradict Himself and His prophets aren't right some or even most of the time. When the speak for Him, they are 100% on - according to His standard.

Maybe they are lying because we know G-d is not a confuser.

When something bad or weird or whatever happens, I always wonder why did G-d allow it. I always start and finish with HIM.

Or maybe they are just misreading the dream. Or it might just be a normal dream that was mistaken as prophetic.

When I have dreams I pray about it. Some are about me or others. I get prayer assignments from the Lord or a specific direction on how to pray or how to handle a situation. I've been dreaming alot lately regarding my former church and others have dreams of me about my former church. This to me is not a coincidence. This is an alert for an upcoming assignment! I've been praying regarding Divine timing and leading. Solus, I would recommend that you continue to read and study the scriptures and commit the things you dream about to prayer. The more trained and knowledgable you are in the Word of God, the more you'll be able to discern the good from the bad.

You'll know whether something is "on" or if it is "off" or the result of eating too much popcorn at night! God speaks a lot in dreams! Tracy Dolls has pointed out a lot of scripture to attest to this. I know a man of God, friend of mine who had a theophany in a dream, he was a gang-banger, dope dealer... but after that encounter with the Jesus, he was a change person. Immediately began witnessing of the resurrection of Jesus, reading his Bible...God has been using him mightily in signs and wonders and miracles... And yes he does still dream. Some believers on these threads will doubt the validity of such manifestations but the Bible attests otherwise.

The Lord awakened me from my sleep. It was about two a.m. I had been dreaming. In this dream, I went over to Dorsey's house. Dorsey was a good friend and I had helped him plant his garden. There were many people there cleaning up, Amanda came to the door, and I asked “Where is Dorsey?” She pointed across the road and there he was, all dressed up in a pretty suit with a big grin on his face. He was waving bye. After waking, I said,” Lord, you’re about to take Dorsey home, aren’t you?” The Lord replied, “Yes, in a few days.” I began to weep and grieve for him, and pray for his family.. He was such an humble man, and I was happy and sad for him.
About two weeks later, on Sunday night, he was strong on my mind. I called him up and asked him if he was OK. He replied, “Yes, preacher, I’m doing fine.” I told him that I loved him and appreciated him. The next Wednesday evening, he went out in the yard to feed the chickens and dropped dead with a heart attack.
When I went over to his house, it was just like my dream. People were there cleaning up, and Dorsey had crossed over the road. By the way, on his funeral day, he wore the same suit as the Lord had shown me in the dream.
Many is the time we had fellowship together, just the two or three of us. During these times, the Holy Spirit graced us with His presence as we talked, sang and prayed together.
Dorsey longed to go home to be with his Jesus. His life was a testimony of the grace of God.

Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Another dream.

In early July, 2002, I dreamed I went over to see Mrs. Kelly, an elderly neighbor of mine. I looked in her bedroom, but she was not there. I awoke from the dream and said, "Lord, you are about to bring Mrs. Kelly home, aren't you?" The Lord replied, "Yes, her work on earth is about completed."

I began to cry for her. A few days later, I went over to her house and had a good visit with her. She said, "Irvin, I want you to say the last prayer for me." A few days later, she went on to be with the Lord. At her gravesite, I had the privilege preaching a few words, and praying the last prayer for her."

I have had much more dreams. In both of these examples, the Lord had me pray for the families.

I tend to agree with Flintjae, although this is a very, interesting subject. And, thanks to Tracydolls for the scriptures on dreams, really appreciate them. I would like to add;Job 33:15-18, 'In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in a slumbering upon the bed; then He openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword. For example: keeping you from perishing by sword, THE CAR THAT almost hit you. When the source of the dream is from the Lord, it can be the 'gift' of 'prophecy' in action. Or, (and this you are to Humbly and earnestly seek God about), it could be the pre-runner to the 'call' into the 'Office of the Prophet.' Hope this helps.

Walkin2e, I loved your dream and God's loving-kindness in giving it to you and preparing you at the same time. There is such a joy and honor when the Lord lets us in on things that are happening. Awesome!! And, what a testimony of a life well-lived before the Lord and granted to enter into His Majestic Presence, forever.

I would advise anyone reading not to take dreams lightly. They are a means bywhich God communicates. Job 33:15-18 is powerful. They can reveal our true hearts condition indirectly. When you something ask God to give you the interpretation. It may save you life or someone else or usher you into a tremendous blessing. It may be the answer to what you have prayed for.
