Does anyone have this DVD and have watched it? I haven't purchased it - yet.

Anyway, I have a question? During the performance by, I think, the Collingsworth Family, the little girl sang a portion of a song. She had a mic in her hand and had been singing during other parts of the song; but when it came to her short solo, the Mom leaned down and the girl sang from the Mom's mic.

I'm not making a judgement one way or another - just curious. On other concerts or performances by this family, does the little girl usually sing or is she just up stage singing into a dead mic? Like I said, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I'm just hoping some of you who have been to their concerts know a little more about this.

Thanks.

I noticed the same thing. It seems like a good idea to me. It gives the child a chance to participate in the program from little up, but doesn't subject the audience to what may not yet be perfected. She is obviously a talented little singer, and she does make a contribution to the program, so it isn't just all show. I appreciate the way they are training a new generation of SG singers!

I don't actually have that DVD, but I would like to get it.

doesnt matter if the little one is singing a perfect voice or not. let everything that have breath praise the Lord.

other words, let the little ones sing too instead of standing on stage

whenever I've seen them in concert the littlest one usually does a solo song on her own and usually with her own mic.

Yes, in their own concerts, Olivia sings a song with her own microphone.

She also does some songs without a soundtrack (just her mother playing piano), so you couldn't really stack the vocals there. It's really her.

Everytime we have seen the Collingsworths, Olivia has had her own mic and when she sings her solos, she uses her own mic.

I have the video and did notice the mic switch but thought nothing of it. It could have been something as simple as the little girls experiencing technical problems. I have nevcr seen this family in person, but did enjoy them on the video.

That's what crossed my mind, too.

I'm looking forward to the release of the new songs DVDs from the 200-artist taping that produced the (now-3) hymns DVDs.
