My stress level can't handle it. My scalp has just gotten really good and clear from working at the ECDC. Being with them 2 days made it start to itch again.

Yikes!

Hence, why if I don't have kids by 30 I won't. I don't think I can handle a kid learning everything new.

Oh my Santa, You just made my day. I am so HAPPY that you still visit me here. I will try to post in SG a little more just because you invited me to do so. Not sure I fit in real well but just for you, I will try. I hope you had a great birthday celebration today.

Judy, I'm going to copy and paste what I just posted in the Geezer thread because it's kind of long and I don't want to leave anything out.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, here's the scoop on the DCS situation and the job interview.

I took a document down to DCS this morning and they told me that the person who will review it will be back in the office on Monday. There's a chance that this document could raise our assistance back up to where it was all of these past three years...a chance, so more living in limbo on that one.

The job interview went smooth as glass. I was comfortable because I had already worked for this company for 8 years and know policy and stuff like the back of my hand. She offered me the job on the spot. I told her to give me a day or so to settle on a pre-school for GB and then I'd call her back.

We've identified the school we want her to go to and I'm taking her enrollment form and shot record over to the school tomorrow. Planning on calling the "boss lady" tomorrow to tell her I'll start on Monday.

This is a day shift position and I'll be a supervisor over 4 other people (2 lab assistants and 2 phlebotomists).

When I got home from the interview I told hubby how I hope I don't flip out after starting this job like I did the last one last month. That's probably an irrational fear, but I don't want to seem flaky and I sure don't want to make my friend who recommended me for this job look foolish. BUT, as much as I'd love to stay home forever with GB, I feel like we can't go on living in limbo and at the mercy of DCS and their decisions on the assistance we get. Just seems like time to grab the reigns and get back to work. Have a lot more peace about it this time.

GB is really excited about school. It's a Christian pre-school at a church and they get plenty of play time and learning time as well.

So, I'll be among the working class (again) starting Monday.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Judy, I've felt like a horse on one of those things that just walks them around in circles for the past week or more.

It totally stinks to be at the mercy of somebody who just reads documents about you.

Christi, you know as I was reading your post, I just felt that you have found the answers you have been seeking. Just MHO. I pray you will have perfect peace with your final decisions. Being at someone elses mercy usually doesn't work for a supervisor type person. I totally agree that that stinks! I will keep you and yours in my prayer journal and if you have a specific prayer request, just let me know. I promise to be your prayer partner as you begin this new adventure. I am happy for you and thankful for answered prayer.

Oh dear, I forgot to say that I am happy you found the perfect place for GB too. I am thrilled that she is excited. She will have a lot to share with you about her school adventures.

Thanks for sharing Christi. I will say good-night because this gal is really tired.

I am soooo excited...that is a lucious sounding menu, he is a very lucky husband. Oh wait, that is me!

All that and a Starbucks gift certificate -- life is good -- and a very pretty face to share it all with!

A friend of ours is always saying he (or some other husband) married up. Well I am here to tell you that I married up, up, and away!

Thanks Judy!

Thanks to all for the birthday wishes....they were quite the surprise. I know Judy "visits" and chats with many people but I have not done so. Although I do appreciate the pleasant words, I cannot invite you for birthday cake and dessert. I suppose I "could" but you would not enjoy the delicious cake and lucious fruit salad, and most importantly, it will all be gone before you get here -- sorry!

Good morning and happy Saturday to all of you.

It is good to be back here. Our internet was out from noon yesterday until sometime during the night. Internet was out in our town and at least 30 miles from our town. That is what I call a real "BUMMER".
