quote:
And as the Book of Job reveals, the enemy is on a short leash for a short while... he has no REAL power, none that we should tremble at. Right but understand he not going to stop, that's deception when you think that ones God has shown you favor or love that the enemy is going to stop, no you have to endure until the end. quote:
If he is worshiped, it is because people choose to do so. Even if they are doing so out of some ignorance that they are serving another master. But they do know they are choosing to do as they please. We make bad choices when we think we are wise, this is about being real and giving yourself up, getting out of that box (slavery) he wants you to be in (guilt, self-righteousness, pride) so he won't have power over you. We all personally go through it but are afraid to speak on. quote:
The enemy has no WORTH-ship to be worshiped! he SEEMS to have power... and that he does have power is another lie that people buy into. He does not have power? The power to tempt us, yes he does. He does not have the power to make us do anything. The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, " I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. So if you worship me, it will all be yours." Luke 4 quote:
At the name of Jesus and the reminder of His blood and of His victory, the enemy flees every time. That's the problem he keeps coming back!!!!! and in this world here right now we need to understand he is not going to stop coming at us not until we die. I have two children and I realized last night that he will continue to come at me throw them and there children. quote:
Those who CHOOSE to be disobedient. The dominion of the enemy is the natural consequence of this. quote: We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. 1 John 5:19 I think the point here is to show the difference --- the VAST difference --- between those who have chosen God (and been chosen by Him) and those who have rejected Him. It a constant "war in the mind over territory for dominion of who will dominate the opinion" we all struggle with the enemy. quote:
Perhaps, it's not sitting passively that's needed. Maybe it's learning to allow God to strengthen you so that you will learn how to fight. Our life isn't about taking it easy and letting God do all the work. God transforms us by being with us in our journey and allowing certain circumstances to happen in our lives so that we will learn. I honestly can't imagine God saying "sit back, I'll do this for you". I can see Him saying "look, I'm with you and I'll never leave you. Don't be afraid." At least, this is what I'm learning right now. Even though you can see him saying that He said stand, how can we fight against Satan? maybe this will help you understand why I said what I said Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. IN addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
