Welcome to the belfry, FB! That's funny, that we both got new phones yesterday. The first call I got was kind of a surprise, too. For one thing, the stupid thing was set on vibrate for some reason. Took me til this morning to figure out how to get it off that.

Its a blackberry. Smartphone. Hmph. The reason it's called that is apparently because it is smarter than anyone who uses it. Or at least smarter than me. And if it turns out that the saleslady misrepresented the "full access to the internet" thing and I have to pay MORE for that, then they are going to get this phone BACK in a HURRY.

Esther can you look up your account online? I have verizon and the website not only tells me how many minutes/txts I've used, but also has all of the account information and what my plan says and what features I have...

I'm so sorry your day has not started out well. I am feeling pretty down myself.
I am now at a point in my chronicles that is very difficult to write. I think I am going to take a break from it today.

Also, I may have done something really stupid...but I won't know if I did until the foot falls IYKWIM. So the waiting is very.....stressful.

I hope your day gets better.

I have Alltel. They are the best service around here...we've never had any trouble with them. Yes, I could look up the plan online, but I think it will just be more concise to talk to the saleslady. I have a call into her now...we'll see. If necessary I'll make the trip back into the city to get everything cleared up: at current gas prices that would frustrate me, but my frustration level might go down and be worth it. Who knows?

Yeah...you know, you don't HAVE to finish it. It's ok. And it must be hard to put down, to think through again.

I hope yours does, too. [sm=praying.gif] I think I may go take a nap. This is starting to feel like a hormone spike exacerbated by the issues I face today. Sometimes a nap and some Tylenol will help me get through days like this. I don't really feel like I have time for a nap, but I've found that I'm probably not going to use my time efficiently when I feel like this anyway, so a nap is actually the more effective use of the time.

I have a blog post to make later, too. It will be more upbeat, I think.

Tink, did you read the OP? It's OK to be crazy for God!!! It's a compliment, at least here in the belfry, and I hope we all are beside ourselves for God.

Yesterday got better for me after a nap in the hammock and calling the Alltel store and getting the stupidphone set up properly. I didn't get enough done, but that's life.

One of the things I DID get done made me very happy. Years ago I wanted to buy a good Bible program for my computer. I shopped around and found one that was in the middle of the price ranges and wasn't too expensive but seemed to have the features I wanted.

Turns out it's really now one of the heftier programs, and after updating it a few months ago I discovered that they have video tutorials for it. I was AMAZED at all it will do. But the one thing that made me happy was the Bible markup! Now I can mark up my computer bible just like I mark up my real bible!! w00t!!

One of my dds is very artsy. She was so excited yesterday and the day before because she was trying a new process. She is 15--that should explain a lot. She worked and worked on the project...and then when the final product was revealed, the results were disappointing to her. This threw her into a funk.

Last night she had a babysitting job with some children she had babysitted before, but it's been quite some time. Just about at the end of the job (I guess the children had been put to bed) she sends me two or three txt messages. Here they are; I thought would make y'all laugh:

"You would think they would have forgotten me by now, but they haven't. They kept on giving me hugs, at Easter they named their new toy after me, and at bedtime Ben looked sad and asked if I was going to leave. Anyway, I feel a lot better now. I may be a crummy artist, have a monster nose, and terminal acne, but the few (and little) friends I have really love me."

I don't mind it. I'm batty, I'll admit. However, I'll also say that another option for our population here is "bels"...from the bel-fry. And we can spell it "belles" for the ladies. If/when any guys show up, they can be bats if they choose.

Let's see...looking up the synonyms for "crazy", I see several possibilities:

We could call ourselves:

"clients" (this one makes me laugh, though it's not in the thesaurus), "daffies" (for "daft"), "gagas", "cracks" or "crackpots", and what about "battys"? "locos" or "nuts", or "loconuts"...

Anybody have any other ideas?
