Right now, I'd have to say "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman (in light of what's happened)

This is older & slower, but a real tear-jerker. I still can't bring myself to sing it for an Easter Sunday. Watch the Lamb - Ray Boltz

There is no song in Christian music more sad than "Damaged" by PLUMB has been in movies and to date it's her best song she's ever done.

ORIGINAL: rockitd "Jenny"- Steve Taylor along with Humble's mention of "Baby Doe" "Dear Mr. Jesus" - I forget the group's name, but when the kid sang, "Please don't tell my daddy that my mommyhits me too" would have me in tears! It was by Powersource featuring Susan, who I believe was only 9 years old at the time. Here is an interesting article in Time Magazine that was about how the song became a success back in 1987. Thanks for the link! I pray alot of them were ministered to by it...

Hi I'm new, just logged in today, how is everybody??? I think the saddest song in christian music is "Quiters" I'm not sure who sings it, but it' about a guy in a wheel chair saying how he wants to break ribbons. it gives alot of faith though. quote:

A couple of suggestions out of left field: "Dandelions" by Five Iron Frenzy "Reeperbahn" by Model Engine "A Housewife's Love Song" or really any song off the gold album by Starflyer 59

"Don't, This Way" by The 77s Imagine All our years together Like a blackbird that won't sing Imagine Throwing it to the air But it falls from broken wings Don't leave this way, so many words unsaid Don't lie this way, stretched straight from feet to head Imagine The sky is pouring down On the back of all those years Imagine That bird helpless on the ground Shot down by all those tears Don't leave this way, so many words unsaid Don't lie this way, stretched straight from feet to head Don't look this way, closed eyes, unmoving lips Don't feel this way, cold hands and fingertips

Agreed. After it came out, our radio station played the song repeatedly...I'll never listen to it the same.

In Reverence of-Impending Doom Its about a kid who loses his mother at age 16. on the brightside tho, he did eventually get to write a killer deathcore song about it, with a sick breakdown.
