Ya, that's what my eye doc said when he saw how dry I was getting. I put a drop on the outside and one inside and they just float in there soo nicely. I cannot believe the difference just the drops have made but add the cleaner and I can wear them all day long and not have a terrible time.

thanks for the tip, i will try it when I run out of this solution. This eye doctor didn't really say anything about what to do about the dry eyes, he just wanted me to buy the acuvue oasys contacts. I'll go somewhere else next year.

Yeah, never ask me when televisions came into existence. Lol. :)

I'll look it up... all I remember is that it was old and Christian. Nice memory I have I guess. Lol.

Contacts- I generally wear mine for 2-3 months. I think they are suppose to be thrown out every month, but I have a tendency to forget when I last changed them, so I wear them till they start to give me problems and then throw them out. One thing I do is give my eyes a break every week or so. Usually on Saturdays since I don't have as much to do then.

Somebody asked about my job situation - I will start teaching in a new school here in the states in Aug. I am currently working for my father.

Nicole- you are more than welcome to come down at any point in time to visit the farm - though it is a little ways from you

I am sore!!! I climbed around on tractors all afternoon trying to wash the windows. I haven't done that for a long time!!

Beth, your family must be really happy to have you home! You are one busy lady!

I was just outside with Rudy and there are tons and tons of mosquitoes. Yesterday there were none. Today there are hundreds. Noooooo! I liked it much more when there weren't any mosquitoes. They drive me crazy and I am extremely allergic to them to the point that if I get stung enough I will end up feeling very sick. Stupid dumb mosquitoes.

Um, can someone explain these floating feet in Canada? I know they said the last one was a hoax, but I'm wondering about the ones that weren't.

Last I read they thought they may have become detached from bodies that were in some accident up the river and floated along til someone found them.

I would, but I haven't head anything about this.....

Looks like I missed a great discussion about contacts, etc. I do have them, but I just don't wear them regularly because my eyes dry out SO quickly and/or simply get tired.

Oh and mesquitos love to eat me too. I really dislike the little critters! Thankfully I haven't seen them here yet. Just wait and I'll see them tomorrow....

DH's eye appt. went well (ordered new glasses...only cost $75 because of insurance for everything...would have been over $400 without insurance. Praise God for good insurance!). DS and I cleaned up his room and re-arranged the living room. Got laundry folded and put away I was supposed to meet with a gentleman today to take pictures of some things to sell for the church; however, he wasn't around so I just left him a note. This was a disappointment, but it ended up working out as I could help DH with DS at the eye doctor's office.

We had spaghetti for supper. It's DS's favorite and he would eat it every night if I would make it for him. Eating it once a week is more than enough for me. Met with some people for a prayer meeting. It went well. DH is in bed now. I'm not far behind him...just going to finish reading subscriptions and then I'm joining him.

Have a good evening, ladies!!!

They have determined that these feet aren't from the victims of the plane crash a while ago ... the DNA doesn't match. They are still investigating and have no idea as to what is going on. So many theories are floating around (no pun intended) ... everything from a serial killer to the decomposing remains from the tsunami a year or so ago.

For my contacts I wear Biomedics 55. I have yet to find an Acuuvue variety that I like.

For solution I use OptiFree. I used to use Renu, but then I discovered Opti is better for me.

For contacts, I recommend Lasik! LOL If I wore comtacts here I'd have constant infections. I was tired of the twins of messing up my glasses so I told him I was thinking of contacts again. He told me not to since we knew we were moving to Kuwait. We were living in Lebanon and it's very inexpensive there so I did it.

I've heard about those feet too. Is it only feet they're finding? That would be rather odd too, I think.

Does anyone want a couple of dogs? The German Shepherd is about 8 and the Black Lab is about 5. They're wonderful with kids and very protective of them. They're not distructive but the GS is terrified of storms and will make a way into the house if he can if you're not home to let him in. LOL They need a good home and our 1 year overseas has turned into too many. Poor babies. We're giving ourselves a month to find a home or a no-kill shelter. If we can't, then we're putting them down. I don't want to...but that's the compromise with DH.

Three more days and we head to Lebanon. I'm hoping to be on much more then. We're not getting dish so I'll spend a lot of time reading, being online, and doing crafty stuff. I also plan to walk those hills with my iPod and lose as much "fluffiness" as I can.

Have a nice day, ladies.

I hate using Deet. It just isn't good for you to use. I am looking into getting a more natural bug repellent. Black flies also like taking huge chunks out of me. It can be annoying when we go for walks. I will get swarmed while Lorne is walking all la de da. It makes going outside such a huge annoyance sometimes. When I get bit they will swell up to the size of a loonie sometimes. And one bite can make my entire arm hurt.

Beth, if I had a farm I'd take your dogs. I hope you won't have to put them down.

Jennifer, so glad to hear your kitty is doing so much better already!

I'm thinking maybe the feet were lighter or something. Maybe a hand I guess, but it's possible that hands usually detach with the whole limb. I know people's heads sometimes come off, but it seems like they'd be heavier. Either way I'd be a little disturbed finding bodily parts like that.

Singing the embryology blues. He just returned our last test today, but we have another test on monday that he just told us about yesterday. I usually start studying for a test a week in advance... he didn't tell us a week in advance. Well, he actually told us that the test he returned yesterday would be the last test before the final. Gotta love unpredictable professors.

My mom wants me to get a class ring... but honestly, our university's rings are unattractive to me. THEY seem... I dunno. I guess looking at some from other schools around, I'd want one like the ONES they can choose from (the page with all the choices on it is the one that's for the other school-- they both come up with the same school name for some reason).

Tami ~ I do have a class ring from college but I didn't buy it from the school. Try checking local jewelers...you might find other options. I did notice that the company the jeweler I used went through (Art Carved) has now merged with Balfour and it looked like they just offered the two options for your school which seems strange...and that Jostens didn't offer any for your school at all...but perhaps if you go away from those 'Big 3' of class rings to a smaller distributor then perhaps you'll find some other options...for instance I found THIS SITE that seems to offer college rings (I noticed that the 2nd one on the page was a ring for Texas-El Paso). Now I'm not much of one to order big items from random websites but perhaps you can find a local jeweler who goes though a smaller distributor such as this one?
