Morning everybody!!!! I have scanned, but really haven't had time to read yet. I will try to come back later and get caught up.

Anyway, I went and saw my new house/school yesterday. I think it is all going to be okay. The school is pretty small, but I knew that. The house is small too and needs a lot of work (like painting and the kitchen cabinets need some work to make them look decent again) but I think I can get it to the point where I can enjoy living there and make it my own place.

I am off to go through all of my belongings in my parents' house. My sister is making me do this project - mainly because she wants the space after I have found all of my stuff and know what I have.

Have a great day!!

Cute kitties, Catherine. Did the "crate" come with them or did you buy that at PetCo (or elsewhere?). Our kittens are 10 weeks old now & no one wants them, so they're going to have to go down to the pound or somewhere

Beth, sounds like a cute house...even if it does need some work. We're still trying to find a house.....or apartment...anything.

Just laundry day today...that's really about all. Hope y'all have a great day!

My dad starts radiation today. I start seeing my new therapist. I'm pretty nervous about both issues.

Thank you!! I'll need hugs and prayers to get through the day. As I posted in the prayer thread, my dad has two living brothers. His older brother was just diagnosed with prostate cancer too and his younger brother is having a hard time with all of this emotionally.

Catherine, you guys are so nice for taking in 3 crazy kittens!!! They are all so adorable :o)

(((((((((((((Denim)))))))))))))))))) I am praying.

Faith, I am wondering why no one wants a 10 week old kitten... I find that odd since kittens are always all gone so quickly here. I hope you guys find a place soon!

Nicole, have fun with Banjo.

Catherine, how do the cats get on with the dogs?

(((((((((((((((((((((ROBERTA))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I went to the gym Tuesday afternoon, (it's the early hours of Wednesday here), and didn't last very long. I just about passed out from low blood pressure. That's the first time that's ever happened. Normally my blood pressure is on the low side of normal, but the only other time it was low was after I'd had some surgery. I'm ok though. Just been told by the physiologist to take it easy, no bending and no sudden movements.

((Trish))

I prayed for all of you this morning...

My grandma told my dad that she had a lump on her stomach, she thought it was because she was consitpated and then my dad thought about it and took her to hospital, her apedenix were fixing to rupture...and so they rushed her into surgery. They said alot people her age dont do well with surgery but she did well...and it was lucky my dad took her to hospital in time.

grrr.... I hate being on hold.

I went to ER on Sunday and I don't have insurance. I have to have a follow up appt., but I have to go through financial assistance first. I was on hold for 15 minutes when my dad's dr. called. Not knowing if it was an emergency or not, I took the call and lost the other call to financial services. So, I called them back. I was on hold for over an hour before a person came on the line. As soon as she did, my dd and neice decide to start goofing off and making a bunch of noise. You'd think that a 15 year old and a 10 year old would understand QUIET, I AM ON AN IMPORTANT PHONE CALL!! the first time I said it. No, it took about three times. Finally, I'm off the phone. I couldn't accept an appt for today because I have another equally important today. So, I have to call back tomorrow to make the appt for Thursday. Red tape, kids, stress and "holding" has gotten the best of me today and it's only 11 am.

(((((((((Trish))))))))))) Well, that can't be much fun. Are you anemic by any chance? Banjo is really friendly and cute! Easy to get along with for sure! I was just holding him and he was making cutesy noises letting me know he was happy. I really do love guinea pigs! So much character.

Jennifer, I am so glad your dad thought correctly and got her to the hospital in time! Wow! What a crazy thing to happen. I am happy she is doing well.

((((((((Denim))))))))) why did you have to go to the ER on sunday? Are you ok?

I think the bird's hurt.... just because it probably would have flown away instead of letting a human pick it up off the sidewalk. I'm sure if/when it gets better the flying might be a problem. It's just a noisy thing though. :)

Shouldn't it be getting help if it is hurt? It might need to be bandaged or need to be fed. I find that to be odd...

I have two dogs, so I originally bought the crate for one of them. I got it for $20 from Craigslist.

Not so well. I am hoing that will change, otherwise this will be a miserable few weeks constantly listening to the dogs whine and bark when I let the kittens run around.

Thanks for the compliments on their cuteness. :)

Ellie-Mae whined for a few days when I got my hamster. She wants to lick her so she will cry and shake until I give her permission to "give her a kiss" . My hamster has escaped from her hamster ball a couple times and from an old cage once so Ellie-Mae keeps waiting for her to get out again so she can follow her around the house licking her.

Now that I have a guinea pig Ellie will cry and cry until I tell her to come "give him a kiss". She is really weird.

After a couple days she will calm down and not have a freak fit trying to see the guinea pig. I know she would act like this if a kitten was in the house, but she would get over it.

I hope your dogs get over the whole barking/whining thing cuz it does get VERY annoying! My mom's dog will bark and bark trying to get our dogs to play. She is getting better though and will listen when you tell her no. She is still very young so she is learning really quickly!

Probably, but I don't think anyone wants to send it somewhere that will cost $$. I figured some animal biologist(s) is giving it a shot, but I have no clue what they're feeding it. I guess worms, but I figure someone knows what they're doing....wouldn't be me though. Lol.

I had to start this about 3 times to figure out you weren't talking about our Ellie-mae here. I didn't know why she would be whining over your hamster.

Couldn't they just bring it to an animal rehabilitation center? All wild animals that are hurt or lost should have a place to go to in every city. And it doesn't cost any money.

LOL!!!! Yeah, I am sure that the Ellie-Mae who posts here is not obsessed with licking rodents. Teehee!!!

I ate too much food.

I think they don't want to take that bird to a free place because they just don't want to. I could steal it though.

ETA: (Just because I didn't want to make a separate post...)

I'm really miffed that I have almost 30 class hours a week next semseter but I'm getting 16 credits. (I have a feeling I'll switch over to audit in one class, so it'll end up at 13 maybe, but I still have the class.) It's split between 12+ (prob. 14) hrs a week doing research and the other 16 is class class (lecture, seminar, etc). Then after the thirty hours a week I still have to find time to study and do my thesis... and generally not fail Something about it feels impossible.
