Welcome back Beth!

((((((((((Roberta))))))))))) I will remember to pray.

Hey Trish, how are you feeling???

Well, Lorne and I are going to go stay with my parents and then my brother until tuesday so I might not be on as much. I am sure I may use their computers every once in a while so I will try to keep up.

I get to meet Chelsea on monday!! We are going to be in the same city at the same time so we are planning on getting together to finally meet. I am really looking forward to meeting her husband and Mary as well!

I won't be on too much today because I have to get things ready so we can leave when Lorne gets home from work. I am bringing my hamster and guinea pig with me. My hamster needs to run in a hamster ball every night or she gets really destructive and my guinea pig is too young to leave at home for so long like that. So I will put him in a small cat carrier with a blanket and his igloo shaped house to hide in. My mom said she will let them stay in her computer room so I don't have to worry about them this whole weekend. She's pretty nice hey?! Plus, she does like hamsters and wants to see my new guinea pig so it works out just fine!

Well, drs. are releasing my BIL early. He is coming home today. I like my BIL, but I'm really not looking forward to him coming home. The reason is simply because I have slept so well with him gone. I've noticed that everyone else has too. He is up and down several times during the night. I sleep on the couch. He keeps the TV on in his room, gets up to eat or whatever and then turns on the TV in the living room and things like that. These last two nights I have been able to get a full 8-10 hours of sleep a night (which I've always needed) and wake up feeling like I really slept. I didn't realize how much I wasn't sleeping until he was hospitalized.

Have fun, Nicole!! Tell Chelsea I said hello :)

Beth...yay...it's good to "see" you back again.

Tami---that's the way society as a whole tends to be going. We are all sinners after all. There are 2 young men that I grew up with that are being tried for murder (or have been tried). I never would have thought either to be capable of murder....

Today I finished Week 4 of the Couch to 5K!!! Yay, me! Now I have to go do some shopping at Wal-Mart...gotta figure out the grocery list first. We're hanging out at the fireworks booth most of the morning (if not day) tomorrow.

Have a good weekend, ladies!!

He watches TV 24/7. If he's home, he has at least one TV on. Even when he's asleep. He says that he can't relax or fall asleep without it. I wonder if he was allowed to keep it on in the hospital? He didn't have a private room.

Oh gosh... So pretty much he doesn't care if no one else can sleep because he needs his tv on? Yeah, I would not find it easy to get along with him. How many people are you living with? Are they all fine besides him?

There are a total of seven of us living here. He's the only TV addict.

I'm that way. :) When I was in the hospital though I was on morphine+demerol at once, so it didn't matter. I fell sleep even when I didn't want to.

Hey Jennifer! My grandparents have always listened to the tv very loudly so I never liked staying over much. Plus my grandma gets up every night around 3am and walks around and does the dishes and makes a ton of noise which is even more annoying. I would have slept in their basement, but it is a creepy basement and I found it to be too scary down there.

OneOfHisJewels, I was looking for a medical video to put on my facebook posted items and I ran across THIS on my way to finding something. It talks a little about conjoined twins (they're getting ready for surgery), and one mother is talking about her decision to separate her conjoined twins. It's sad, esp. when you see the parents saying bye to the kids. It's pre-surgery... It doesn't tell what happened afterwards. I think they have a wiki page though if you search the twins' names online.

There's a woman in town who occassionally lets a 16-yr-old watch her one-yr old. Well she says she went and picked up the girl and took her to her house so she could babysit (the mother of the babysitter was sick and couldn't drive her over there). So the woman goes wherever it is she has to go and now the babysitter, the baby, and the woman's car are gone. There's an Amber Alert out now, and they said they found the car but not the babysitter and baby. Then I heard on the news that the girl had just gotten out of juvenile and has a history of running away... which would seem like a red flag to me for having her as a sitter, but I guess she figured nothing would happen in an hour's time.

Anyway, about the twins, I'll have to check out that site. I just came across the video when I was looking for in utero surgery.

Nicole, not sure how I'm doing right now. I'm on prednisone for 4 days to see if it makes any difference to my pain levels. Day 1 was awful. Yesterday was even more painful than usual with lots of side effects. Today isn't quite so bad. Will have to take it again tomorrow to see if it's going to work. Can't stay on it longer than 4 days, doctor's orders. Hopefully will know what to do after tomorrow. Thanks for asking.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Last I heard they're still missing. I'll listen to the news later to see, but I think the Amber Alert is still out. The car was found parked in someone's driveway, but the mother said that they didn't know anyone at the residence where the car was parked. The mother did say that she and the sitter were like "cousins" and that she knew the girl had trouble with the law.
