As Beth said, the topic changes fairly regularly around here. A lot of the time we talk about our days which sparks conversation

Let's see....today I need to make phone calls to Kansas (gotta find housing soon) & work out (2nd week of Couch to 5K). Other than that, I don't know what the day holds.

Writing letters sounds like fun!

Beth, sounds like you enjoyed sleeping in today. I wouldn't have minded sleeping in, but the wee one was awake before 5AM. Ugh...maybe I'll nap later. Now I don't expect to see much of you around this week...as you're going to be busy packing, etc.

Welcome Sherry!


Yesterday one of the people in my sunday school class taught he did a really good job, and then in preaching I wasnt shocked that the people who were suppost to be doing the media center didnt show...so I went to help out like usual, I just kinda wish they could give us a heads up so we wouldnt have to scrable togther at the very last min, although I had great sunday my sweetie took me to lake and we had good time, I wish I had brought a float or something lol but I didnt think about it...but I happy that I didnt burn because im really white lol also my sweetie was talking to me yesterday about how he wants to go to school for electrical engineering and I told him to pray about it and he said that has been and so today he is going to seek some advice from his boss man... Its going to be tough still working and still going to school...because he is already going right now for the company, and not to mention that we are trying to get married...

Anyways..how is everyone doing today?

Status: offline 		Hey Jennifer I would have liked to go to the lake yesterday, but it was raining all day. It's been raining on and off everyday for a week now. If your boyfriend went back to school while still working would he be taking night courses or full courses? That would be difficult.

I am alright today. It is sunny right now, but we are supposed to get a thunderstorm this afternoon and then it is supposed to rain straight until wednesday at least. It is so wet outside. We don't need more rain!

We had a couple over for dinner and a movie on saturday night. It was nice. They are both quiet people (Lorne works with the guy) so our dog Ellie-Mae felt nervous around them and hid under the couch and barked most of the time. She is used to noisy people who get down on the floor and play with her and Rudy. These people just looked at them and didn't say too much so she probably saw them as being threatening and asking to fight. I got them to give her treats so she would calm down, and after almost 5 hours of her freaking out and going in the washroom for time outs she calmed down enough to not hide and play with the cats. We've never seen her so nervous around people.

About relationship with God - I went through a spell several months ago where I wasn't attending church much due to some problems at the church I had been attending and then a language barrier anywhere else. Paul says not to forsake the gathering of believers. We receive instruction and encouragement from church. However, if that is the only place you expect to get "fed" then you have some problems. My last Monday here!!!!! Next week Monday, I will be on a plane at this time, almost back in the states!!!! I ended up not getting anything else done last night, so I am starting the week behind with lots to do... but it should be a good week anyway. Okay, I have enjoyed my extra 30 mins in bed and need to get moving so I am not late for work

Status: offline 		We kept having crazy weather like that too but now its been HOT and humid... so lake was nice. Chan will probley take night classes because he works during the day, but he would be going full time...so now we are back talking about apartments instead of houses...although a house would be better but its alot to take in...

Maybe those people didnt care for pets? My cat gets crazy when my sisters have alot friends over....

One of the planes at Lorne's work took off and crashed about 20 minutes ago. He got up to about 100 to 150 feet, the engine stopped and he crashed hard into a ditch. They don't know if the pilot is okay. Lorne is freaked out and worried because he worked on this plane. So please pray for Lorne and the other workers too.

Status: offline 		Okay, so now I'm mad. My professor was gone today, and for some reason had us unsupervised when we too our midterm. The midterm was NOT open-book/notes. So everyone put up their stuff at first, but then after the girl who handed out the exams left, they started asking each other the answers and looking up the answers in the book. I hate when people cheat...unless everyone can do it (which means we'd have to have had permission). I think I'm the only one who put up my stuff and didn't touch it, or who didn't ask someone else what they put for number 2, etc. Ick. I imagine it'd be suspicious if everyone made A's (or had the same answers)... I'm not sure how well I did...you know, since I didn't have the benefit of looking up all the answers.

I'll pray for the situation Nicole.

Status: offline 		Lorne just called. The pilot is alive with one injury and is being treated. They weren't told what kind of injury it was. Everyone is totally upset and freaked out right now.

Lorne is really upset and really needs your prayers. So do all the guys he works with. He is hoping that the ladies at the tower heard wrong and that Luigi is still alive.

Lorne's boss told them to all go home because the media is harrassing them. So he will be home in about 45 minutes.

This is terrible ladies. This was supposed to be an exciting day. And the worst part is that they got it on tape and saw the whole thing. They were taping it because it was supposed to be an exciting tape for the planes first flight.

Luigi has a wife and kids so please please pray.

Status: offline 		Nicole- I will continue to keep them in my prayers. My estranged husband is a mechanic for a major airline. We often worried that something like this would happen. It's hard on those working on the planes.

The plane went up 300 feet, the engine died, the plane flipped upside down and crashed. His body is still in the plane. Ladies this is a huge nightmare. The poor man, his wife and kids... He was an experienced flyer. It freaks me out knowing his body is still in the plane and that he is dead. I'm gonna need prayer too pleae.

Status: offline 		Thank you. A company is going through the wreckage now to see what happened. The news found out who the pilot was and no one knows how they found out. So the news is bugging Lorne's boss right now and is making him feel worse. They just want that story... they want to talk to people that knew Luigi. This is why news crews upset me. They don't care about you or what happened. They just want the story.

I didn't realize Lorne saw it happen, but when he got home he told me he saw everything. He said everyone freaked out when they saw him crash and disappear in a ditch. The worst thing is they have it on tape...

I am going with him to work tomorrow. We will go when we get up. We don't know what is going to happen to the plane or if anyone should really see it. And we are all scared to find out what caused the problem.

Lorne is having a hard time because he was talking to Luigi this morning and was supposed to go flying in Luigi's plane with him today... The plane Luigi crashed in was another guy's plane. He was certified to fly it because he has thousands of hours of flight in similar planes. Lorne said he was so excited to go up and fly... and now he is gone. So Lorne and his co-workers are going to try dealing with it together. A guy that works every so often called Lorne after seeing it on the news and was hoping it wasn't one of their planes... he got really upset when he found out it was one of their planes and a guy he knew very closely.
