Dear Donna and Kathy, I understand how much work having special needs kids is, endless paperwork, dealing with teachers, even church can be work. My twins have special needs. So I do 2 IEP's every year, SSI, etc. Darling hubby doesn't but I think it is because I just always have done it so he just assumes I will. Thankfully mine don't require as much physical care as before, they are now independant physically. It is like having a full time job plus all the other regular mom stuff. Just know that others, even our spouses, may not appreciate what you do in raising special needs kids, but our Lord does. I believe he is smiling and saying well done my daughters. I believe someday in heaven your sacrifices will be rewarded and you will be honored for the love shown to one not even of your flesh. In the mean time know that you are loved and I will be praying for you. About the kiddo's growing up. I can sure relate to that one. Jessica, my oldest, just had her 13th birthday on Friday. She will be going into 8th grade in August. Seems like just yesterday I was laying in the huspital with her on my tummy. We have 4 more days of school here and I still haven't heard about the twins summer school situation. I'm also worried about J's grades. She is suppose to find out today if she passed her classes. If not that will be a crisis here because she won't be allowed to stay at the magnet program, it's a performing arts school and she has been there since 1st. grade. My love to you all, Kim Q
