ORIGINAL: TammyIsBlessed Starting weight (Feb 8 - 2 weeks after baby#4): 145 Goal weight: 120 Total pounds to lose: 25 Current weight: 132 Pounds lost: 13!! Pounds left to lose: 12 - just over half way there! I'm a little confused with the way my body's been losing weight this time. I've lost weight very slowly at first - using Body for Life exercise program and just trying to eat well. Then after a couple days of bad eating I'd lose a pound. [&:] During our Disney vacation (where I definitely didn't eat well, but did walk a fair amount) I lost 2 pounds. Then after wisdom tooth surgery I hardly ate anything and lost nothing. I have not resumed exercising since then and suddenly lost another 3 pounds last week. My only guess is that I'm actually undereating causing my metabolism to slow down which slows down the weight loss. I don't feel like I'm undereating though, so I'm a little nervous to eat more in case I start gaining weight! Are you following the womens guide for what to eat from Body For Life For Women? It was no where near enough food *for me* when I was following it. I tried following it to a T - I had everything in correct portion sizes, in individual containers, each grouped in their own category in the fridge. I was always hungry, so decided to stop eating the portions they suggested and just eating for my body. Things got much better [:)] I have always eaten a lot. I can out eat Paul almost any day. The trick is to just eat healthy stuff [8D] Paul has a good system he has been doing for a year or two now, no matter what other "diet" he is following (right now it being Warrior Diet.) Anyways, he basically has one junk day a week. He's very careful about eating no junk 6 days a week - and then the 7th day he eats whatever he wants in whatever amount he wants to. It's been interesting to see that he binges less and less on junk on his junk days! According to the link CSL7037 gave, I have a daily expenditure of 2185 calories per day. That doesn't include calories necessary for nursing though - which I think is 500? So that's 2685 per day. I really don't think I'm eating 2685 calories per day! I'm not following the Body for Life eating guide at all. Just trying to choose healthy foods and eat till I'm satisfied, not stuffed. I do eat a lot. I sometimes eat as much as Nathan even though he works in construction all day! In the summertime, he actually eats even less as the heat makes him less hungry. I don't seem to have that problem. [8D] I think I mentioned on the general Weight Loss thread that I tried doing phase 1 of the South Beach diet for 3 days and that totally did not work. It's virtually no carbs. I made sure to try to eat a lot otherwise, but it obviously was not enough, especially with nursing. During the middle of the 2nd night of that I woke up absolutely starving, sweating and dizzy. I got up and tried eating cheese and peanuts first, which didn't help a thing. So I finally had one mini chocolate egg and some crackers and then I felt better. So, that bombed.
