ORIGINAL: Trinity_3persons Thank you all for your comments: greatdivide46, Lapidoth, and Bluethread! =) Here's another verse with an addtional quote. Go ahead and post what you think about these, if you like. One's true worth can often be measured by the things pursued. - Anonymous For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:34 (NIV) Worth and treasure are tow different concepts. Treasure refers to those things which are in our custody and one's worth is one's value in the eyes of another. That over which we have custody possesses us more often than us possess it. If one has custody of an automobile one must take the time and expense to maintain, repair and store it when not in use. Since, what we spend our time doing has a great effect on our character. In fact, I believe, that is why Adonai is so interested in giving detailed instruction on how we should spend our time. There one can determine a lot about a person by watching which of his possession take up most of his time including how much value he adds to our lives. Therefore, we can tell if someone cares about us based on what he has in his custody. If he has things that make his life better, he loves himself. If he has things that make my life better, he loves me. If he has things that bring praise to Adonai, he loves Adonai.
