Hi CM, sounds like you have a really good family to be proud of![:)]

I went to the International Spy Museum and also road the Metro and walked around a bit just getting my bearings. I met up with an online friend and had dinner with him also. I spent most of the rest of the time just relaxing in the hotel. It was still fun all and all.

My next destination may be Atlanta, but I am not sure yet.

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/2/2008 6:47:45 PM)

What'd you think of the Spy Museum? I haven't been there yet, but will probably take the kids at some point.

I've only flown into Atlanta, which is huge. My destination was closer to Savannah, so I didn't spend much time in Atlanta.

humbleinspirit -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/3/2008 8:51:03 AM)

Good morning CM, The Spy Museum was ok for what it was. Honestly, it was a little dissapointing because I think that I expected more in the realm of spying, however most of the stuff that they had were already featured in movies. Therefore I did not learn nearly as much as I would have thought.

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/3/2008 4:24:43 PM)

Good afternoon, Humble. That's a bummer about the museum, huh? Are you having a restful Sunday?

humbleinspirit -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/3/2008 11:57:18 PM)

Hi CM, my Sunday was ok and mostly restful. I went out to eat earlier and saw the movie Mama Mia! It was ok. I am getting ready to call it a night and get ready for work tomorrow. Have a goodnight and hope to catch up again sometime soon!

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/4/2008 9:39:59 AM)

Our Pastor was out of of town yesterday, so one of the men in our congregation spoke. I thought his message was excellent; although he was a little nervous or rusty. We had a relaxing afternoon. I made sloppy joes for dinner.

We're having my son & his fiance over for dinner tonight. It's his 20th b-day! Hard to believe! [:)]

So, I've got to run out and buy him a cake this afternoon! Think I should get some noise makers and balloons too? [:D]

Have a good one.

Hisjoy -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/4/2008 9:34:08 PM)

Hi, CM! I got your "Hi," up there. Thanks!

Two things in common this week for us!

Our pastor was also on vacation the last two weeks so he had someone else come to preach. He was home weekends and came to church so it was nice for him to relax in the service and listen to someone else. I especially enjoyed this week's message.

And the second thing, today is our grandson's birthday. He is just four years old! We talked with him on the phone yesterday at his party in the park and he was pretty excited. Today he called to say thank you for our gift and he was busy taking all his gifts our of their packaging (he had taken the birthday paper off yesterday at the party).

Happy Birthday to your son!! I hope you are all having a joyful celebration together!

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/5/2008 9:05:24 AM)

Hey there, Hisjoy! I guess August 4th was a special day, huh? Yes, we had a nice evening with my son & his fiance. We talked about "wedding stuff" quite a bit. They're getting ready to register at a couple of stores. Also, we're trying to figure out a nice song to be sung during the ceremony. They are at a loss for just the right one; and I am trying to help them find one. (probably a love song)

We've narrowed it down to the ones they don't want: "When God Made You", "Wind Beneath My Wings", "You Raise Me Up", "I Will Be Here". Any suggestions?? I'm all ears.

We are hosting the rehearsal dinner at our house so we discussed the details for that.

After dinner last night, we lit the numeral candles and he made a wish. You're never too old for that! We took a few pictures and then ate the delicious chocolate cake. It was so moist! Yum! It's always nice to spend time with him and his fiance. Thanks for the b-day wishes for him! It was a special day!

Talk to you soon. CM [:)]

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/5/2008 9:07:25 AM)

Clearly, I haven't consumed all of my cup of coffee this a.m....

Happy Birthday to your grandson!! [:D][:D]

Children are such a special gift from God, for sure. They really are a miracle! God is amazing! [:)]

humbleinspirit -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/10/2008 5:55:18 PM)

Hiya CM, I hope you have had a good weekend so far! [:)]

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/10/2008 10:22:44 PM)

Hello there! Yes, Saturday was filled with laundry, cleaning up and went to a couple of stores. Today, we went with two other families out to lunch after church. Then, we all went to the beach. We were there for about three hours and it was very relaxing! The guys tossed around the football, kiddies went in the ocean and collected shells, and the ladies had a good time talking. All in all, a great day.

I hope you had a good weekend as well. Have a great week. [:)]

humbleinspirit -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/10/2008 10:38:27 PM)

Hi CM, sounds like you had a lot of fun!

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/11/2008 6:14:47 AM)

We did. How are things going with you? I guess your weather should be cooling down soon, huh? It'll be hot here until probably late Oct. It is fairly manageable from Nov. through March here, which is the time of year I live for! That's when you can actually walk outside without starting to sweat immediately. :)

deliveredarling -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/14/2008 4:07:32 PM)

Hi Crazedmom, saw your signature and thought I would drop in to say hi! I spent last week camping The Big lagoon state park. There is nothing better than spending time on the beach except maybe looking at the majesty of the mountains. The water felt a little cool and was full of jellyfish. Mighty powerful waves this visit. I'm not very big and the just tossed me around like I was nothing. We had a ball though. A week is just not long enough. At least I can stop by here and be reminded of the memories! See ya soon!

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/15/2008 10:36:35 AM)

Hey there, delivered! Glad you stopped by. Oh, the mountains sound nice! Getting away is so refreshing, isn't it? We planned to get away at some point this summer, but it's looking like it may not happen this year. We have a lot going on anyway with my son getting married in about 6 weeks. I bought some waterproof mascara, 'cause I have a feeling I'm going to need it! :)

Drop in any time. Have a great week! [:)]

humbleinspirit -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/16/2008 2:32:14 AM)

Hi Crazedmom! I am glad that the weekend is here! Its been an interesting week, Monday relaxed, Tuesday stressful, Wednesday not as bad and then strolling right into the weekend.

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/16/2008 10:43:59 AM)

Hey there, Humble. I'm glad it's the weekend too. Hope you can find some R & R. I hear you... about it being a stressful time this week... for me too. I have to remind myself of what the Word says when I'm stressed out... His grace is sufficient for me! and He won't put any more on me than I can bear. And, I know that God has good plans in store for me because I honor Him and put Him first in my life. He has plans to prosper me, and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future! I love that passage - Jeremiah 29:11.

humbleinspirit -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/16/2008 11:14:39 AM)

Hi CM, that is true, and good scriptures to remember also.

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/19/2008 5:43:07 PM)

... I'm thankful that Hurricane Fay turned out to not be a big storm for us.

Kiddos are back in the swing of things with school work. All the wedding planning is just about done here, and we are anxiously awaiting the day of the wedding! :) Looking forward to having family in from out of state to help us celebrate.

Hisjoy -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/27/2008 10:43:24 PM)

Hi, CM and friends! Glad Hurricane Fay hasn't been troublesome to you. Oh, my, so long since I visited. Thanks for the birthday greeting for Connor!

Which song did your son and his fiancee pick for the wedding? I always things of "I Will be Here" when people ask for suggestions.

Nov.-March is also my favorite time of year, as it's cooler for those months. I might even get to wear my winter coat a few times!

humbleinspirit -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/27/2008 10:50:20 PM)

Hi CM, I am glad that the storm did not turn out to be a problem for y'all either!

Hi Joy! How are you this night?

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/28/2008 2:20:49 AM)

Greetings from Sunny Florida to you, HisJoy and Humble! [:)]

You know, I think they're actually foregoing having a song sung during the ceremony. They're young and it's their choice; but if it were mine... :)

Today we finalized the menu for the reception and I went with them to pick out the cake. Exciting things! [:)] Right now, we're up to 150 guests, so we're very pleased.

Hope you both are doing well and experiencing God's goodness. Drop in any time and let's catch up... [:)]

humbleinspirit -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/30/2008 10:37:36 AM)

Hi CM, it was good playing in forums in humor and games with you this morning. I know that you posted a new blog entry, however I haven't caught up to it yet.

crazedmom -> RE: I Saved a Spot For You On The Beach... (8/30/2008 3:18:09 PM)

Hi there, Humble! Yes, it was fun! I'm always glad to "see" you on there. :)

It's a little overcast here, so it's a great day to stay in. Getting caught up on laundry... (never ending) :)

I'm planning on doing some reading now. My sister loaned me the Joel Osteen's new book, "Becoming a Better You", so I want to get into that. I also need to catch up on my Bible reading plan. I fell off the wagon, so I have to catch up quite a bit with that.

Oh, just wanted to encourage you about your church. I read on your thread that you may be looking for another church. Just wanted to encourage you to find one that will minister to you and where you feel comfortable. There are no perfect churches obviously, but there is one that has a place for you and where you can be ministered to and where you can be a blessing in return. I'll be praying you find your niche. One of the devil's greatest tools is isolation. It's so important for us to feel connected as believers.
