ORIGINAL: at-home

This is our all-time favorite for camping (and for busy days at home):
Taco Soup:
Put all ingredients in a pot and heat through. l lb ground beef can be browned first, if meat is desired - then add the rest of ingredients and heat through.
1 can tomatoes (include liquid)
1 can kidney beans (include liquid)
1 can corn (include liquid)
1 can green beans (include liquid)
1 packet taco seasoning
If conditions allow, this soup is extra good with crushed tortilla/corn chips, sour cream and/or shredded cheese sprinkled on top of individual servings.

We eat this too, but without the green beans, and we add a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix, a diced onion and a small can of Ortega chilies. It's so good! We often make it in the crockpot too!

We always made the hobo dinners..Foil, chopped carrots, onion and potatoes. Hamburger pattie..Put hamburger patti on foil, add veggies, s&p and a little butter fold sides and put on charcoal for about 40 min..We would make indivadual ones..
Chopped cabbaged, onion and chopped bacon season to your taste add a little butter wrap in foil and cook mmm for about 40 min..until cabbage is tender. Believe me if you don't like cabbage you may just like this one..

cut up potato's, onion season to taste all on foil, pour cream of soup over and wrap and cook..

rice, onion, peas (or what ever veggie) season and flavored broth. I double foil and pour on rice and wrap tighty and cook..mmm good. lots of things you could do with the grill, campfire etc..
Have fun

I chop all veggies for meals at home and put in ziploc bags.

If a meal calls for browned ground beef I brown it at home and freeze in a ziploc bag. I also cook rice at home.

I mix all dry pancake ingredients together in a ziploc bag.

Any meal prep I can do ahead of time at home I do.

A couple more foil meals:

Pepperidge farm Smoked sausage, pinnapple rings, red pepper and red onion slices. Serve with preprepared brown rice.

Place 2 medium sized meatballs on top of two pinnapple rings, add red pepper and onion and drizzle with sweet and sour sauce. Serve with preprepared brown rice. Yum!!

Thin slices of potato, 2 slices of tomato, a couple of rings of onion and two medium sized meat balls, (slices of mushrooms optional); top with 2-3 Tbsps of jar brown gravy.

~Blessings~
