MMMMMMM....Baked Mac 'n' Cheese....my granny used to make the BEST in the world. I'd love to have some of hers again. When I have that kind it's like having her back again!

So, what are non-GT people up to this weekend? Anything exciting happening? (And if you don't have anything exciting going on, then lie. We need to make the GT folks REALLY jealous by talking about all the excitement they missed here!)

Well, if we're going to lie about what we're doing this weekend, I'd say that I'm jetting to Acapulco to participate in a cliff diving competition, after which I'm escorting a flock of supermodels to a party at the Mexican Presidents mansion.

But if you want the truth I've got a homemade Mac 'N' Cheese in the oven, later I'm going to make a meatloaf and spend the weekend with meatloaf sandwiches, mac 'n' cheese and my rereading my favorite books.

Oh yeah, I also shaved my head.

[sm=biggrin.gif] I love it!!

Well, since we're lying about our weekends, I'm heading down to the keys to swim with the dolphins. That's it. That's all I want to do.

My mom used to make that, too. It was best when she used velveeta, but that was a really special treat. Yummmmm!

FunBetty -> RE: The Non GT- GT....Let the mischief begin here! (6/6/2008 12:32:17 PM)

lol @ Kimberly!

So if we're going to lie about our weekends, I'm taking a first class jet to Disneyland this weekend where there will be no lines because everyone is at the GT. While there, I'll win the prize to stay in Walt's apartment on main street and be the grand marshall in the parade!

While there, I will gain exclusive access to the infamous Club 33....and later head over to the jungle cruise where they will give me a costume and allow me to be a California skipper! And I shall be a skipper while eating a Dole Whip (YUM).

If you're looking for ideas. I remember while I was in college, a friend stole all of my underwear and put them in a bucket of water and stored it in the freezer. All I had was frozen in a block of ice.

lol.....I've got all kinds of stories from youth group days.

Though my favorite prank was when we had a lock in at the church. Back in those days we "slept" for a few hours. One of the guys owned one of those tiny MGs. And while "sleeping", the boys managed to move the car up the street to the bank.

The first rule of youth outings - is never go to sleep!

We did something similar to a friend, He had a tiny car of some sort, I've since forgotten what kind, but some friends and I picked up and moved it between two trees. One was up against each bumper.

When I was a teenager and worked at a restaurant one of the fulltimers left his boots in the breakroom so we filled them with water and put them in the freezer. We did the same thing with his ties which he also kept in the breakroom.

I've been debating on whether or not to go to a singles GT around here. But, if I don't go, I'll likely be working in the backyard. I can actually call it a "garden" now - lookout!! LOL

And sometime this weekend, today or tomorrow, I'll go visit my older daughter. She's on her own now (yikes!) and will have to grow up fast - and learn responsibility at the same time. I worry about her, but at least she's close to family that can check on her.

But in my dreams? Uh.........well..........I'll be on a cruise relaxing (what's that?!) and having fun. Not sure where I'll be cruising to.......that'll be a surprise. Oh, and I'll meet my future Mr. Wonderful too - can't forget about that. Ahhhhhh.........if only.........

When I was a youth minister on a mission trip, I FINALLY allowed some mischief to happen with our group. The other team serving with us (from another church) got into a friendly prank battle. At one point they had boxed our church van in between theirs....we knew they'd be doing something to us so we'd already planned to "sleep" and allow them do their work. After they finished and went back to sleep, we woke up, and undid everything. Somehow the guys got the van free and back in a different parking spot.

And I don't remember what we did in retaliation. I only remember walking outside the next morning and seeing one of their youth come out confused, saying "I thought WE pulled a prank on them..." I had to hold in the laughter soooooooo bad.

sunshinesoprano -> RE: The Non GT- GT....Let the mischief begin here! (6/6/2008 12:48:02 PM)

When I was in high school, the seniors always played a prank on us. One year during chapel, they released thousands of little white mice in the chapel. It was a bad idea.

Here's the stupidest EVER: During chapel we all just left our backpacks, most of which were those ginormous LLBeans, scattered throughout the chapel and outside. They took all of the backpacks and threw them, not set them THREW them, into a big pile at the bottom of the hill. Thousands of dollars worth of TI-81 and 82 calcs were destroyed!!!!

Ours was just stupid and we all got in trouble....our class president gave his chapel talk and afterward we were to have our class picture made on the front gates. His idea for the prank was to walk to the Waffle House and cut class afterward.

The problem with this was that we had a good 3 months of school left and leaving campus other than during lunch hours was explicitly against school policy. My friends and I were only spared my me having an asthma attack. We weren't able to get very far off campus and we went back and confessed to the dean.

We all lost our off-campus lunch privlieges for a month.

my senior year, i took a friend from church to homecoming. his brother was dating a girl in my class. my date borrowed his g'pa's cadillac...and his brother borrowed his folk's lincoln. and since my date JUST HAPPENED to have a key to his folk's car....we moved it about 3 blocks. and when we saw them leave the dance...we snuck out to watch them try to figure out what happened to the car!!!!!!

(yeah...yeah....we finally showed em!)

woodwind228 -> RE: The Non GT- GT....Let the mischief begin here! (6/6/2008 12:52:33 PM)

When my dad was in high school he had a friend that knew a bunch of locker combinations. (I dunno...maybe he was a repeat student or something. haha) Anyway, the guy would put firecrackers in several lockers and they'd put lit cigarrettes against the firecracker so it wouldn't go off until they were already sitting in class. The teacher would run out in the hall to catch the pranksters but they were sitting there watching him nearly trip over himself to get to the hall. You'd NEVER get away with something like that now!

FunBetty -> RE: The Non GT- GT....Let the mischief begin here! (6/6/2008 12:53:01 PM)

In high school/college my dad had this thing where he'd show up to where I worked (unbeknownst to me), and either turn my car around (ie park backwards) or move it to a different space. He did it alll the time.

Then I started at Disney where it was too far and the parking lot was secured. Then the parking lot was so big I had enough trouble finding my car on my own!

trainfan -> RE: The Non GT- GT....Let the mischief begin here! (6/6/2008 12:59:08 PM)

Where I used to work somehow someone in the service dept where I worked got a hold of a sales reps keys and moved his car to the business next door and snuck the keys back where he got them. They almost called the police for that one.

saraimay75 -> RE: The Non GT- GT....Let the mischief begin here! (6/6/2008 1:05:18 PM)

You know I wanted to go to the GT....But it seem like it will be a lot more fun here.

broyce1981 -> RE: The Non GT- GT....Let the mischief begin here! (6/6/2008 2:34:12 PM)

Yep, I think it will plenty of fun here this weekend. These prank ideas are great. Unfortunately, I don't have any more to add because I'm such an innocent little boy.[sm=angelhalo.gif]

WalkingwithHim2 -> RE: The Non GT- GT....Let the mischief begin here! (6/6/2008 2:37:18 PM)

I wanted to go to the GT as well but the stimulus check didn't give me enough stimulus to go! No worries,,,,we will have plenty of fun here.

FunBetty -> RE: The Non GT- GT....Let the mischief begin here! (6/6/2008 2:38:57 PM)

Okay everyone!

I brought over milkshakes for this afternoon!
Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and....cookies and cream!!!

broyce1981 -> RE: The Non GT- GT....Let the mischief begin here! (6/6/2008 2:44:41 PM)

I'll take cookies and cream!!! Yummmm!!!!

I kind of wanted to go this year, but I'll wait till the next one. Had I been able to go, it would have been my first time ever in the Central Time Zone. (My, don't I feel lame admitting that)
