DLindros -> bible explaination? (6/6/2008 1:02:16 PM)

i'm looking for something that will help me pronounce the names of the people and places in the bible as well as comparative maps so i can see where all of these things took place. do they make any books like this? if so any suggestions would be most appreciated. i'm reading out of the NCV if that makes any difference at all.

You need a bible dictionary and a bible atlas. Both should be readily from your local Christian book store.

I dont know if NCV has one but I know KJV and NIV have bibles with Hebrew and Greek key lexicons, with a chart on pronuciation and section on grammer. I initially got mine NIV to deal with Jehovah's Witnesses who say "the original greek/hebrew says this" and Ill be like oh really well lets look this up. It has become more usefulle to me in study than I ever thought.

I suggest using http://netministries.org/BBAsics/bbbott.htm.

It doesn't have every word, but can be useful.

God bless.
