[8D] I know there are several different forums here about concert attendance but I was just wondering in light of the rising gas prices and the price of a ticketed concert and all the cost involved....how many are not going to as many concerts as they normally would?

Its been a tough choice to make. We only get to go to 2 concerts a year, but both are costly travel. One concert this July is a free concert. The place has Sat night entertainment for their guests. They don't mind others attending. I don't feel so bad, I support the ministry anyway. We use more gas going up North through the mountains 200 miles. Last year it cost about $42 or $45 to fill up one way. I am glad its not up hill both ways!!!! These concerts are the ONLY thing we do all year, so it REALLY means allot to us. I will make cuts where needed, even if I had to skip some meals! (if you knew me you would know I mean business!) I feel it is so important to support these ministries whatever it takes. I am still working on how I will buy product.

So Far, it hasn't slowed Dinana and me down. We're fortunate that we don't have to drive more than about an hour to get most places around Atlanta.

It is good to know that high prices will not keep SG fans away. I know I work in Pigeon Forge and we have not seen the tourist you would have expected by now but we keep being told....they are coming but I am not so sure about that with high gas prices and all so I just wondered how this was affecting all of you. Keep those gas tanks full and these cars runnin' that next concert is surely just a few days away.[:D] God bless you all in your travels and support of the various ministries.

Amy, sure do wish I had known you worked there, might have been able to stop by and say HI when we were up there. Won't be back until late August.

Got the message. We'll be in PF during the World Premier, Aug 24-28. Currently don't have plans to be there any sooner. Have two trips planned in October.
