quote:
ORIGINAL: Kat_D 38 "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." -Mark 14 14 "But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren." -James 1 9..."nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents..." I Corinthians 10 To the OP: Besides the appearance of evil which should be, in and of itself, a significant deterrent, stop and think of it this way: If you move in with a member of the opposite sex you are gambling...risking your morals in the hopes that you'll come out on the winning side, and we all know gamblers rarely win, so why take the chance? Why put yourself in that position? You may not have feelings or a desire for this person now, but you have no way of knowing if that might develop in a living situation. Don't do it...it's not worth the risk. Amen and thank you! And, I'll add this...I asked in another post (which went unanswered as it will here) who among us can look temptation (or evil) in the eye and win? Did Peter? How confident was he? Hmmmmmmmm..........I, for one, would never even consider the thought that I am further along in my walk than Peter was! And he even had the One that mastered temptation right with him, in bodily form!
