Everyone likes people who are "nice" when "nice" means pleasant, polite, etc.

What isn't admirable in a man is wussiness, or weakness, or allowing oneself to be walked all over, or being wishy washy, or not having an opinion, or not standing up for what one believes, etc. That's what is typically meant when someone says a man is too nice.
