IceQueen - Your desire to build is commendable, but remember it is God who provides. The question is "How do we draw a crowd?" The answer is not putting on a show, or making church attractive to lost people. The answer is to look at how the early church grew. Check out Acts and you will see the phrase "and many were added to their number daily". Why? The church was visible - the sat in the temple courts or in people's homes, probably in gathering places in the towns. The did not seclude themselves in a church building, which we now call the church. The church was the people. They had no building or bank accounts or Power Points. They helped each other and loved each other and the world saw this and wanted this. The world still wants this, but look at how the church treats itself and you will find your answer as to why the world wants nothing to do with the church. I do not intent do discourage you, but to remind you, nothing happens out of God's will. We can have all the plans in the world, but seek first His wisdom and will. Instead of games and activities (not that there is anything wrong with them) how about being visible in your community through service? Showing the lovingkindness of God will make people take notice and possibly be drawn to your group.
