Oh, good topic!

I'm definitely an old soul...always have been.

I had to grow up way too fast, but even as a child my family recalls me being very "old" in my ways. I think my mom equates that to prudish .

I was never one for going to parties or staying out late in school. I turn into a pumpkin at 10 and the pumpkin explodes at midnight.

I'd like to find someone who is similar, but has enough spunk to keep me doing stuff.

Good thing I already decided I'm not going to turn 30. Once I hit 29 I am going to stay there forever!

LOL, I decided "25" was the age I would stay at. I often said I was "25 and holding"... and boy am I holding alot these days!!

I think sometimes I feel "young" and sometimes I feel "old" "experienced" ( ). People often say they think I'm younger than my 54 years, I'm not sure why though- if they mean "looks" wise or "actions" wise. Hmmm, I guess all that means - I don't know!

But having the number 3 at the start of my age is just so scary! I'm not too worried yet as I've still got some time to enjoy my 20's, which I plan to do!

I may get a shoe to the forehead for this, but quoth Tink at the GT: "I'm not old!"

The good news is that we are only as old as we feel! So in that case I'm still 21!

I'm curious, why the excitement about turning 30?

I HATED being single, blond and in my 20's. I got ZERO respect for anything that I did. Any of my friends who were married and/or had kids, they had all sorts of respect. I was viewed as the "flighty" one - even though I was working my way through school and taking Calculus and Physics, etc. As long as I said I was in my 20's, I just got these odd looks - especially when I said I was single. When I turned 30, and still said I was single, the reactions changed to things like, "good for you - you didn't just rush into anything" - and this came from friends who got married in their 20's. I truly hated being in my 20's. While I had a LOT of fun with professional soccer during those years, I truly hated being that age. I counted the days until I turned 30. And now, in my late 40's, I can't wait to turn 50!

I've always looked younger than I am, and some people have treated me accordingly. I thought turning 30 would make me an official adult. LOL! I also anticipated that the quality of my life would improve, and it has, exponentially.

I would say that when I was younger (teens and early twenties) I was an "old soul" I always acted older than my age and more mature than other people my age. Now I would say I am more of a "young soul". I act younger than my age particularly when I look at other people my age. I recently read something about my upcoming H.S. reunion and they had started a facebook page for it. That made me curious so I ran my school and graduation year in facebook and got 39 hits. Looking at the pictures some of these people and the setting of the pictures, you'd think they were 10-15 years older than they are.

39 hits on facebook? My high school class didn't even have that many students. Not sure how many are on facebook, though. Maybe we'll have something soon as my reunion is next year.

That's around 10% of the class.

Not me. I'm fairly immature and I love it.

Gotta be...you know...being in my 20's and all.

I actually heard that it my mind as I was typing. Kind of decreases the effectiveness of the jest, doesn't it? LOL!
