Actually, wouldn't that be typing in tongues?

Actually, it'd be copying and pasting in tongues.

Greetings monamie.

I love to say your name (I always use my best Maurice Chevalier accent).

That reminds me of one of his songs.

Can anyone guess which one?

Mrs. K and I went shopping in Knoxville this afternoon. We went to McKays (a warehouse sized used book/cd/DVD store) and Walmart (they have stopped making my cat's favorite treats ).

She then went to the School Box while I bought cat food and checked out Borders (I love walking around bookstores).

We had decided to eat at Fuddruckers, but on the way there I got a craving for oysters. While we discussed where to eat we made a little loop driving around west Knoxville. Finally we drove back to Dandridge and ate at a local fish house which was the only place I could think of that served fried oysters.

It was delicious. We ate fried oysters, scallops and catfish. They have the best hush puppies I have ever eaten and, inspired by our prior discussion, I even had cole slaw fe a change. A great meal.

And the best thing is that Cindy promised to make me hamburgers at home tomorrow evening.

Were you able to get out of there without buying lots of books? I have no willpower in bookstores...

But I didn't think it was actually possible to get a craving for oysters. Scallops, yes. Oysters, no.

Glad you had a good day, a good meal and one to look forward to.

Have a McKays in Chattanooga been there several times and bought used Cds at a real good price. I like Louis Lamour books and they will usually have one I don't have. Which isn't too hard with all the books he's wrote.

I was tempted many times, but decide to order what I wanted from Amazon since I have two gift certificates saved up there.

Broiled scallops and fried oysters are two of my favorite things. I had not eaten oysters for a long while.

Exactly. And speaking of looking forward, I found out yesterday that Frank Herbert's son has written two sequels to the Dune series (he has apparently co-written several "prequels").

They were written based on the father's notes, and are called Hunters of Dune and Sandworms of Dune.

As I was driving around the area I came upon Dandridge. It was a very photogenic and historic place.

Cool. I've read 2 of the prequels so far...House Atreides and The Butlerian Jihad. I've got The Machine Crusade here to read after Heretics. I like the prequels. They are more straightforward with less left unspoken (or written as the case may be). So I'll probably like the sequels, too. This will be an entirely Dune summer. How cool is that?

I go there often, since that is where the Courthouse and Justice Center are located.

Outside Dandridge is the Bush Bean company, which has just undergone a large expansion to its already large facility.

Yesterdays' local paper noted that Bush is the largest taxpayer in the county. The company provides one-sixth of our county property taxes.

They have a market share of 86% of all baked beans sold in the U.S. Not to mention all the other types of beans they sell.

If the daily output of canned beans from the Chestnut Hill facility were lined up end to end, it would stretch from Pigeon Forge to past Atlanta.

I certainly envy you. I get a thrill knowing that someone I know is about to embark upon a great reading experience...

...like Huck Finn.

I also drove by a Bush Bean plant in my driving.

And that caused my to wonder, since the area is hilly and does not have much flat land. Where do they grow the beans?

I don't think it matters to the beans. When we were kids and even now Dad always had a garden. Now I don't care what kinda weather we had Dry or wet, if nothing else would grow those crazy beans would. Then you'd have to pick them, wash them, string them, break them, wash them again, and help mom can them when we got older. Our garden was on a slope also. So I think beans will grow well where ever there is dirt.

I am from Kansas where crops are grown on large flat sections of land and harvested by large combines.
