Hi there,

A prayer request please. My family and I are considering moving out of California. Possibly to Oregon or Washington. We just cannot afford to live here without a dual income. My husband works as a manager at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, we have a three year old son and I stay at home. We have money put aside but not a fluid monthly income to support rent in So Cal or purchase much more than a garage door!! [8D]

So, please pray that we would fervently seek God's will in this, that The Lord will clearly direct our paths and that we would make decisions that would benefit our family and glorify Him.

MJ, I hear you on not being able to afford things. Currently, we reside in the Central Valley area of California. After much prayer and consideration, we decided to move to Kansas. I grew up there, but it's something that DH started praying about before even raising the issue to me.

Anyway, all of that is said to encourage you. We'll be praying for you as you consider your move. I will say that a friend recently moved to Seattle, WA, and I was looking at some housing/jobs there. Wow...the housing is MUCH more expensive there (than here) but there are a TON of job opportunities. Praying for you and your family.

I am praying for wisdom in this decision. I am also praying that God will provide the necessary means to not have to move. Moving is so traumatic.

Thank you for giving us the way to have a relationship with you. Please guide MJ's family to a new home that will be affordable and wonderful for them. We are still in the move-out-of-the-old-apartment stage. So as they say, no news is good news....for now!

We moved out of California and moved to Michigan over 3 years ago pretty much for the same reason. I pray that the Lord will guide as you make your decisions. I will honestly tell you that it took a lot of prayers between hubby and myself because of numbers of reasons but it was God's plan to relocate us here in the midwest and it has been a blessing since then.

Father,
I pray for wisdom and peace for MJ and her family. I know how it feels to have the fear of uncertainties but with your guidance and love, I know that you will guide this family to where you want them to be serving you. I pray for patience as well since it could be overwhelming and just to focus on you Lord. Continue to bless her and her family as they seek your will- in Jesus name. Amen.
