Need to finish getting ready for church. Am wearing the red, white and blue today for our patriotic service. Should be a great day.

I forgot about the race. Usually would have recorded it.

Church bells ringing. Be Blessed.

Thought little E had in the bag but that Busch boy (kyle) won his 6th last night. That's a 1/3 of the races this season.

Kyle won another one? Pickles.

Anywhos, I went to a local Amish store (just south of the Virginia state line) and bought a few things yesterday. Among them was a red pepper jelly. It is DELICIOUS! But spicy...

Yeah he hung around in the top 5-10 all race pretty much and was in the right place at the right time on the last caution. Hey we got a Amish store up the road a piece in Delano Tn. Hadn't been there in a while tho. Man they got the best tomatoes.

We saw Jimmy Fortune at Dollywood the last time we were there. He's making a couple of appearances this year at the Country Show. He sang songs that he had written for the Statlers. He still is a very good performer.

We loved the Statlers...we would go see them when they came to Roanoke. My Dad especially loved them.

Talking about the Statlers. When I was a kid, I really loved "Flowers on the Wall" . Are these the same people or is it their children?

Hoofers used to have two rows of rocking chairs across the back of the concert hall in the General Admission area. They were the first seats to go. They did a marketing stragety. Moved the Rocking Chairs to both sides of the stage down front and now sell those seats as reserved seats making more $$$'s.
They also have several rocking chairs outside the concert hall. Hoofers is a very good place to go for a concert, it started out as a cattle barn. The owners have rebuilt and now have a concert hall that seats around 1500. They have a great resturant and on concert nights have a great seafood buffet. They do all types of events there, Country, Bluegrass and Southern Gospel. Some events run 3 - 4 days. They have a large campground there also for those that want to park and stay for all events. You can visit their website www.hoofers.com to purchase tickets to events and a calendar of their events. You can even make your seat selection off the website.

added: BTW....Marietta, GA is the home of the World Famous Brumby Rocking Chair.

Does the name come from the cattle barn days or do they allow dancing?

Well...I'm home waiting on the HVAC guy to call and visit. We have dual A/C units to cool our townhome and right now one is half working and the other is frozen up...it's over 80* in my house right now. Thank goodness for ceiling fans.
