Did you see it. I saw part of it. I was thinking it might be something interesting but it was just like all the other reality shows. Like we need another reality show.
What really shocked me was teenagers sharing a bed like married adults. I hope they were at least 18 and not still minor children but in this day and age who knows.

I watched it. I was really bothered by the scene toward the end where baby Etta was so tired and inconsolable. She probably just wanted her mommy to put her to bed not someone who was a total stranger to her. I was so disturbed by it that I had tears in my eyes and had to change the channel.
I think all of the couples were 18 and older.

No. They were all under 18, but all of them (at least all of the girls; not all of the boys) were wanting to get pregnent because they felt they were ready to have children.
Honestly, my wife talked me into watching a repeat of the first episode (NOT an easy task, because I HATE reality T.V.... even American Idol bores me to tears), and I think that what they're doing on this show is actually pretty good!
By putting these kids in an environment that will simulate what its like being a parent, the producers are going to show them just how NOT ready for parenthood they are. After only one day, some of the girls were down to tears because the parents of their infants (whom, as teaspoon61 said, can watch on video from a nearby house and step in whenever they feel necessary) came over and lectured them on how they were doing. If more adolescents watch this and think "Geez! THIS is what its like being a teen-aged parent????" then I'm all for this show to succeed.

If so, I agree with you. She was a complete drama queen, and completely immature and unrealistic. I pity her boyfriend.

None of them are under 18. I just double-checked with the NBC website.
While it may be a good lesson for the teenagers, I still don't believe it's in the best interest of the babies. Cameras, cameramen, strange new "parents," unfamiliar surroundings, and not having their parents there to comfort them when needed is a stressful thing for a baby. Even with the parents just three doors down, it's not the same as being held by your mommy and daddy when you need comforting.
I'm all for helping other people, but personally I just couldn't do it at my baby's expense.

I watched this last night. I watched the re-run and the new episode. My husband thought it was great to show how hard it really is to raise kids. I think the kids learned a lot about themselves, and family.
I liked it and can't wait to see them with toddlers. HEHEHE!
I did not like the stress on the babies. I did feel that the kids could have watched the babies in their own homes at least so there was something familiar for them.
I totally agree that some of these kids are so selfish, and would make horrible parents.

I watched this show tonight and loved it.It was very interesting and those babies are so cute.

I don't think the stress on the babies was that bad, really. I mean, if the parents went on a trip for a couple days and left the baby at grandma and grandpa's house, would it really be all that more stressful? Besides, they took a LOT of precautions to ensure the safety of the babies in those homes. Security cameras for the real parents to view on... professional nannies on stand-by... I think it was ok.

I was up late last night and caught this show.
What I didn't like is that it showed the teens sleeping in the same bed. Are these teens married? Security cameras or not, what type of impression is this sending to our teens?

Yeah, seems they substitute one sin for another. That wasn't good. Seems it's okay to sleep together just don't have babies.
I heard a report was out that some psychiatrists are trying to pull the show claiming problems w/ separation anxiety for the babies. I don't think they really know all the ends & outs of the show. I don't think they realize it's just 3 days, parents are watching the whole time, & they have the freedom to step in if necessary. I think they also don't realize they are all college students not high school kids. I had my doubts about this show in the beginning too when I only knew about it from the surface. Now that I know more, I think it's helpful.
I'm struggling w/ the Dunwoody couple. They are students at Auburn & I think they are sort of giving us a bad picture. The girl is way too spoiled & bratty. Yeah, there are some girls like that here, but it's not the full scope on this campus. The wearing of constant Auburn paraphernalia is a norm here, but I almost wish they weren't wearing it so much during the course of the show. k

I just watched The one with The babies. I do not know how The mom of The baby that one girl had held herself back. I think her name was Sasha but I could be wrong. I would have collected my baby and told her to go back to mama and grow up a bit more.
I am now halfway through The toddler episode. I am sad how they are letting those little ones miss their moms so much. Some of them are having a very hard time with that. I know my Jessica would have a terrible time. Some of The teens are doing terrible but in their defence I have to say that these are not their children. The ones that did so well with babies are now not doing so great. Well sure these are someone elses kids who are at difficult ages. The teens do not have The benefit of any kid of maternal bond that moms get with their own babies. Now the girl who drug the toddler around by the arm then did not clean up the messy diaper, ugg another one that if that was my child I would be all over that.

I haven't heard of this!! I'm actually relieved I haven't.
The title is enough to draw my attention.... However, that title alone is bordering on frightening. And I'm thinking this isn't "sharing a bed" out of lack of space...  terrible.

I am still struggling w/ the fact that they are sleeping together. I'm worried that it could send a message to go ahead & have sex & get an abortion rather than raise the baby. I'm really tired of society having the idea that kids are "just going to do it anyway." kd

I watched for the 1st time last night. I think the premise is good. I'm with you all about them sleeping in the same bed. One of the kid's mothers even made a comment something to the effect of "bet they'll be buying condoms now". I think this could be a good wake up call to these teens, because they are SO not ready for marriage & parenthood!!

I tried watching 5 minutes of that show and couldn't stand it. Who in the world hands over their child for this kind of crackpot experiment?
The few minutes I saw was an overly tired toddler up past 10pm and screaming. The mother was watching on closed circuit TV and said it was "difficult to watch" because her child had been crying for 3 hours! Forget the teens and sleeping together, maybe CPS should be called on these parents who would had over their children for this kind of treatment just for a few bucks.
The next clip was that same toddler being treated nastily by the teens, just because he acted up at a restaurant. HELLO?? He's a toddler, and you're sticking him with two lousy teenagers who don't know him, don't know his schedule and don't treat him well. How do you expect him to act?
I don't care if they have cameras and professional nannies. This is insane and dangerous and stupid. And by that I'm meaning the parents who would agree to this.

How could that mommy just sit back and watch that with only a comment to the tv how it was hard to watch.
