It doesn't feel like I can bite hard from it. Going back to the dentist next wk. Just curious if anyone else has had any experiences with implants? You shouldn't really be biting hard on anything. Implants and crowns simply aren't as strong as our natural teeth and biting on things is going to affect them. quote:
Also when I train I sometimes align my bottom teeth with my top teeth and that felt akward when I did that. I could feel the pressure. May be worth you investing in a dental shield. The do take some getting used to, but it will help protect your implants. May be worth giving your dentist a call on Monday to see what he says about all this. Depending on what you had before the implants though, it may just be getting used to them. I have a bridge (over 3 teeth, top front) now, but before that needed to wear a plate for 6 months after an extraction (to allow the bone and gum time to heal). After I had the bridge fitted, it felt really weird for a while. Still does sometimes and it's been 8 years I think!
