FROGkissin -> Some "Scripture Affirmations" for your Christian "Meditation" Time (7/5/2008 10:03:14 PM)

The question came up in another thread in regard to 'positive affirmation.' On the whole, I am leary of this as well as the term 'meditation' because of the definitions common to New Age, et al. [:)]However, the Bible is full of references to the things of God upon which we should meditate thereby stating in affirmation of our faith those things which we hold to be true only on the basis of God's WORD. PS 48:9 Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.[sm=heart.gif] PS 77:12 I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. PS 119:148 My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises. These Truths are the only reality upon which to base our hope. His WORD is the only force that will change our lives. And there are such amazing treasures in the scriptures that we need not go anywhere else for encouragement![sm=sparklecrown.gif] Memorizing, meditating, thinking on, declaring, reciting, claiming... ...Go Ahead--> Chew on it![sm=chef.gif] Here then, is the first installment of scriptures upon which to meditate and declare in affirmation: RO 8:37-39 "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
