Witnessing4Christ -> Evangelising Task (7/6/2008 1:46:42 PM)

Call me crazy..... but

my goal is to convert thousands to millions of people into Christ and I believe I can do it because I'm a firm believer that anything is possible with God . Ever since the first time I evangelised I loved it and knew it was God's gift for me. I know there will come a time when I don't care how stupid I look in front of my friends and just evangelise my entire school, markets , my city/state....

Anyways now the only thing I'm confused about that kind of discourages me is the following:
It says in the end times there will be many unbelievers and christians will be persecuted for their faith etc. And if you think about it, the only way that would happen is because non-christians outnumber the christians. And I know the Bible is Truth and lives for ever and ever so I'm thinking no matter what I do it's going to happen ( persecution of christians and many unbelievers)
So how am I suppose to feel determined to preach the gospel if I feel limited to the amount of people I'm going to be able convert. I want to help make this a Christian nation but if it is ever possible, how will the persecution of christians happen? So basically I feel that no matter how hard I try I won't be able to convert this nation because the Bible states that persecution will happen and as I said Bible is the Truth.
Anyways can anybody offer advice or anything?

Hi:

First, we need to remember we can save or convert no one, that is the job of God. We can share, and plant seeds, but God is the one who converts and saves.

Second, as far as this nation goes, I'm not very optimistic that the nation will turn and repent and reach toward God. It is possible of course, but, based on verses in the Bible, things will only continue to worsen. We can only share person by person by person. I do appreciate your zeal however and wish you well. Please study hard and pray to ensure you are communicating the Gospel clearly, and correctly.

Hi Witnessing4Christ,

Great ambition - well done.

When Jesus started, He did not have the benefit of radio, television, newspapers or the internet - yet His message spread and lasted for over 2000 years.

He converted one person at a time; and still does. You are the one to spread and preach His message and He'll do the converting. The best way for you to do this is to live your life as He would want you to. Study the Bible. Pray often for His help. Listen to Him and do His will.

It will be difficult; but it will be worth it. God bless.

how will the persecution of Christians happen?

uh, It's already been happening and you didn't know it.

First of all, it's still possible for you to make a tremendous difference but you need an experience with God that will help you communicate the message of His saving grace and love to others. Seek Him first and ALL these things will be added to you. The desire is there to evangelise, so keep doing what you are doing and as God sees fit, He will divinely open the doors. IF it is HIS WILL for you to preach to the multitudes, the multitudes will be drawn to you because of Christ IN you. Seek to know Him with ALL of your heart, soul mind and strength and He'll do the rest. A vision of this magnitude can only be done through the blessed anointing of God and the Holy Spirit in you. Pray, pray, pray for God's strength and leading in all humility. God will not share His glory with ANY man. He will not share the platform with you or anyone else. If you are not humble before the Lord, making ONLY His name great, you'll never see this dream come to fruition. It's God's desire that ALL come to repentance and a saving knowledge of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.

The message is simple, love and acceptance. The ability to reach the lost is the work of an evangelist. Keep doing what you are doing and continue to draw in close to the Father heart of God.

If you want, look at the lives of Billy Graham, Reinhart Bonke, and especially, Jesus Christ.

Think about this, who's going to disciple the babies? That's were we are. We'd love to see the multitudes where we are and it's REALLY hard here. The largest crusade I've been a part of was only 3,000 people. We saw the deaf hear, the blind see and the lame get up and walk. But the crowds of 3,000 are hard to get together. We're selling our large sound system and opting to use the smaller one, so the crowd will draw closer. Life is all about seasons. Not everyone is as lucky as some of the great evangelists to see the millions attending. I wish that were happening here. Although I'd love to be a part of the crusades with the millions. The Lord called me to this work through a vision in the night. He woke me with a vision. I saw a lake of fire and a sea of people walking/falling into the flames. They were falling into hell. The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said, "How lovely are the feet of those who bring good news." This is my message as I share through music and them my husband preaches with a call to salvation. It requires the help of many to have a crusade. It requires promotion, unity, sacrifice, funding, time and the work will have just begun because when the people come you've got to have the people to follow up and disciple. We just obey and let God open the doors divinely for what He sees fit for our lives. Perhaps we couldn't handle the pressure of the millions, or perhaps He is keeping us for Himself and we're being protected from the pride that may creep into our lives if we had such a ministry. God knows us better than we know ourselves. Keep trusting and obeying Him. That's all that is required of you my fellow servant in Christ.

Noble aim. Without goals we're distended to shrivel on the vine. The mission effort in the last 100 years has garnered more souls for the Kingdom then the rest of recorded history. You're living in the right era.
