It's hot. And I just spent $2.17 on an energy drink to supplement this room temperature water I have. I opened the top. And it slipped out of my hand into the floor. The floor where the pest control guy sprays the carpet and tells me to caution employees not to eat anything they drop into the floor. Maybe I could have saved half of it, but I poured it down the bathroom sink rather than drink out of the bug spray-tainted can. It's lukewarm water for me. No spirituality jokes, please.

I stick a bottle of gatorade in the freezer until it gets slushy. YUMMY on a hot day!

There is an unsanitary refrigerator in this building which I won't use. The reasons I quit gatorade include that it not only tastes bad but water has less calories. There was a Lime Ice--i think--flavor that I liked but it was hard to find. Somebody told me I was getting too much sodium in Gatorade also. Also just thinking about brominated vegetable oil has to be fattening. Although their website says otherwise: What is brominated vegetable oil (BVO)? What is its purpose? Does it add fat calories to the product? BVO is used in the manufacturing of some Gatorade flavorings to provide stability to the flavor emulsion. It is used in very low levels and does not contribute any fat calories. "fat calories" are still calories aren't they? I can't find anything on calories on their website. Of course the energy drink I had contained caffeine, sugar, and calories and was of course not good for me either!

I like it. it has taste, but it is light. not heavy. and cheaper than that caffeine filled goop. Koolaid is an alternative for those wanting heavy taste.

bluestone, I bought two red gatorades yesterday-quart bottles a buck apiece. They ran out too soon! I checked that sodium content and it's 5% of daily intake per serving at 4 servings per quart bottle, so it doesn't seem that bad to me. Which goes back to my number one wintery proverb: "Never listen to anybody!" disclaimer: wintery proverbs may not be 100% true 100% of the time, but they sure come in handy sometimes!

Hey this is how I get irritated looking at different Bible translations. Joel 3:10 KJV: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. Bishops: Breake your plowe shares into swordes, and your sithes into speares, let the weake say, I am strong. Geneva: Breake your plowshares into swords, and your sithes into speares: let the weake say, I am strong. Darby: Beat your ploughshares into swords, and your pruning-knives into spears; let the weak say, I am strong. Douay-Rheims: Cut your ploughshares into swords, and your spades into spears. Let the weak say: I am strong. ASV: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. All of these in agreement, and even the NIV only goes this far: Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, "I am strong!" Now for the ESV: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, "I am a warrior." I understand the accuracy of it, not because I know Greek but because I can look up the Strong's numbers and definitions with E-Sword. By implication a "warrior" but "tyrant" is also possible, as is giant. Let the weak say, "I am a giant tyrant" doesn't quite have the ring to it, though. The word means powerful. I wish they had stuck with "strong" like everybody else.

ORIGINAL: WhiteRoseBlessings Oooh; y'all went to the Amish Farms again? Is this something that y'all do regularly? Only five days to get a reply! I just remembered I hadn't answered this. I would say "irregularly". This was the summer of my "Jedi" training into Amish interacting. Make that just "Jed" training. As in Clampett.
