On today's front page is an absolutely lovely young lady who just competed in the Miss Tri-Cities pageant. She actually refused to participate in the swimsuit competition because the swimwear was too immodest!

It's good to see a young lady standing for her convictions.

Not a fan of these types of contests and hates all beauty pagent with a passion.

I have never been a fan either. (Actually, the other day I mentioned the ball gown competition and Brandon said, 'Oh, sure, THAT is all about their great minds!' LOL) But it is nice to see, around here, a Christian girl following her convictions. It's pretty rare. And it's astounding that she's on the front page of the Herald, let me tell you!

Good for her! Not sure why there would be a swimsuit competition in a teen pagaent, anyway though. Maybe they ought to change it to a beach attire competition.
