Kathy, come over to the Prophets thread and you can read a little about our night at Fan Festival this past Friday. I will post a full article about it at my blog...late tonite. Hope you are enjoying your Prophets' Cd.

Now...your question about TOP being around in 20 years...Mmm?
I would be Ed's age now. Bill and Eddie would be in their 80's. Mike would be 10 years older than i am now...Ed would be in his 90's. How do the Dove Brothers say it?..."We Can pray...."

Will do Paul!
We can pray about the 20 year deal as well, with God all things are possible!
Yes, I do love the CD! I love to hear Ed Hill sing Jesus Wept!!!! I had never heard this song before! Wonder where I could find the lyrics??????

Unusual song isn't it?

Published by Stamps-Baxter in the early 60's.
We could find no record that any group had ever included it on a pro gospel recording.
No one in our group knew it. Johnny Minick had sung it at Singing Schools as a child (the 60's). He presented it to us one afternoon while we were in the studio trying to find a song for Ed to sing on the Cd. We all loved it.

We believe that The Prophets are the first to record it...ever. The song was in an SB book that is long out of print. Prophets recorded another song by the same name years ago.
Johnny's Dad has a copy of the "Jesus Wept" that we recorded. Let me see if I can find a way to get you a copy of that song. Amen.

If you will, say something about it over on the Prophets' thread. Ed lurks in there. Would really bless him a lot to hear your feelings on his performance and the song. Thanks Kathy ...pj

Wow, the trouble with thinking about this, it brings us to thinking about who will not be and I don't like that. I think some groups may have name changes (MTT for example - Mark still traveling in 20 years - maybe but maybe not but if Eric and/or Dustin were still with the group they might 'rename' and keep trucking) but I think many will still be with us.

This has also made me go back 20 years to the think about the changes and the people we have lost - ok, so now I'm totally depressed!!!!

I wonder if Nick Tramell will take over when Dad retires.

I'll try to get the pic of Nick taking the mike away from his dad and singing with Dustin and Eric on Saturday uploaded tomorrow!

Sounds like he may not wait 20 years to take over.

I don't remember Mark's exact words but it was something like 'it will be yours one day but I ain't going no where anytime soon!'

That is funny DeeAnn. I can just see Mark saying that.
