I was just thinking to myself...if I make them NOW, then I can eat the entire pan and have it washed and put away BEFORE he gets home. Hide the evidence. LOL.
And really, I'm just kidding.

Yep...and I've made them with the flavored marshmallows, too. Good spin on an old favorite. Have you had scotch-a-roos? Oh my...they are so good. I usually only make them at Christmastime, but I could go for some now.

rice krispies - peanut butter - chocolate chips - butterscotch chips are the basic flavors

The fried bread thingy we we posting about reminded me of a buffet-style restaurant we used in have in my home town. They would take the leftover yeast rolls from the day before (already baked but not used), cut them into quarters, throw them in the deep fryer for a few minutes, then roll in cinnamon and sugar. I was eating one once & I realized that underneath the cinnamon and sugar was a disctinct piece of yeast roll. So this wasn't just fried bread, it was refried bread. All the bad stuff in one-bread, grease, and sugar. Yummm, yummm!

if these are made with corn syrup instead of marshmallows... then yes. =) My recipe calls them "kris kringles"

I have used total with the cranberries. It is kind of like using frosted flakes without the frosting. While you get a ton of sugar and fat from the butter, you at least get some nutrients too. And they were good.
