*sigh*

All I'm saying is that if you want people to treat blacks as equals, and not be scared of them, or suspicious of them, or not want them around, then you should probably not be telling people that blacks are a mere match away from rioting and killing us all.

Actually, what Tracy is referring to there is a legitimate promise to the former slaves of South Carolina, Georgia and Florida that was later reneged on by Andrew Johnson.

I know, but I have seen and heard enough over the years and the bottom line is cash... I can recall a Phil Donahue show and they talked about races relations, what should be done, and all that is being posted here and when that was beat to death it came down to cash...

Well, then there would be a basis for anger.

But I predict a whimper, not a bang - I think it is likely he will win, and then a much worse fate will befall him - he will actually have to deliver on the promises of his lovely speeches, and we are all going to realize speeches don't make jobs, secure our freedoms, or solve any of our other problems.

White, right. That's what all KKK look like.

Hard to tell, all the pictures I have seen of them they are wearing sheets... Though I have seen that same type of hatred from all types and color of people... The three black man that raped me didn't have much love in their eyes... Nor did the Hispanics that tried to kill my parents...

Well, I'm going to keep treating the blacks that I know the way I always have, because afaik they don't ascribe to the whole "I'm a powder keg" thing. But I have to admit that a member of a certain group telling me that that group is planning to riot and hurt people does make me a little nervous about members of the group I don't know, yes.

So I guess basically I'm now scared of you and your friends.

Edit: I would also point out that if a white person said that all black people are powder kegs waiting for a match to set them off so they can riot in the street, most of us would think the person is a white supremacist being really, really racist.

You might give that some thought.

Your race does not practice peace, love, etc.
I don't speak for my whole race. I believe BO is doing a good job as president of the world.

Our slogan is

NO JUSTICE NO peace!

Wow, so you view the entire "white race" that way?
Do you not seen your own hate toward another group of people that you accuse of being hateful?

That's pretty sad.

So you have based your judgement of billions of blacks, 35 million in this country because of one poster.

All I'm saying is use your mind.

If that boy is shot, I don't want to be here.

Your one really, really racist might be the one who shoots him.

Once again tracydolls takes over a thread with her crazy rants. Honestly, 'dolls, are you for real or is your membership a put-on? Either way, I vote to ignore her posts (more threats, I'm sure) and deal with more reasonable wrong-headed people. ergo...

Hey Jimbofletch , you mentioned being consistent. Do we now go to the U.N. and submit a resolution that demands an apology from the other 'New World' countries that also had slavery, in addition to all the Moslem countries and societies that held (some still hold) slaves?

This is where Obama will take us. The unrepentant will be tried in the World Court.
ARRGGHHHHH!!!!!
If they garnish our wages for blacks with slave ancestry, then the black recepients should then have to give the money to American Indians. Afterall, they helped conquer the Indians.
Apology, reparations etc. ect...all rhetoric and never enough.

So then if I'm part white and part native, can I just pay myself directly and cut out the middlemen?

Also, shouldn't it be necessary to prove that the white person has slavery-involved ancestry before you can garnish their wages for slavery? Most of my white ancestors didn't even get here until WWI.

In that case I wouldn't have to pay. But then that makes too much sense.
You got here late but that wouldn't matter, again it makes too much sense.
They would find out my great great grandad(had no slaves) and great great uncle(had no slaves) fought for Confederacy and force me to pay. Because we all know the One and Only Reason, the Sole purpose, the only Cause for the war was slavery. Please!

Tracy is playing everyone on this board. She has this same rant going in another thread. There i thought she was serious. Now I see her here and she is speaking even worse trash. All she wanted was an apology, she got it from the gov and it's not good enough. it's not ever going to be good enough for her and those like minded individuals. Can't talk sense into them. It's probably best to leave them to drown in their own poison.

Do you think all black people will vote for Obama?

amen

quote:

If that boy is shot

If I said this I would be called a racist.

the Truth...

this is just another in a long line of political moves to LOOK like it is accomplishing something just to get more votes. This is PURE politics with absolutely no results whatsoever. If I was suffering from persecution an apology by the government would mean absolutely nothing to me without some accompaning action. Talk is cheap. Lets see some action.

Would MLK be satisfied with an apology?

??

Also, will electing a black man as president eliminate all the prejudice in the USA? Again if this is truly what the majority of black people believe then they are naieve and ignorant. They are being manipuilated by politics.

Life lesson number 4005...talk is cheap. Saying you are sorry means nothing if you continue to do what you apologise for....OOOOOOPPPPSSSS, thats right, slavery was done away with 150 years ago....Jim Crow laws, 40 some years ago....hmmmm

just what is THIS Congress apologising for?

Foolishness. Pure Politics.

Actually, there have been several apologies issued by the legislatures of states that actually had slavery.

I think the Southern states should apologize to the Northern states for putting us through all the trouble.

As soon as the Northern states appologize for coming down here and telling us how to run our state! Ya'll have to remember, down here we still refer it it as "The War of Northern Agression!"

Nope, it will take more than an apology...much more! It will take a big check! And then when that's all gone, it'll take another one! This is one issue that's been milked to death and it will never, never, ever stop.

If apologizing for hurting blacks is so vital to our national psyche, I propose the next congressional apology be for the tragic devastation done to black families and the black community by the Great Society, the War on Poverty and myriad other government programs. Now THAT would be an apology I could support.

Yep, those programs have utterly wrecked the black nuclear family. But nobody will say it, of course, because that makes you a racist. Crazy state of affairs, isn't it?
