Beanteaser -> Have men dropped the ball? (7/31/2008 5:21:34 PM)

Recent studies show men are out numbered by women by a nearly 2 to 1 margin in the US (click HERE for the stats). There are comparable numbers from parts of Europe as well. My question is why? I think one reason is church has become too feminine for men. I asked the question "Is Church Too Feminine?" in the Men Only forum as well as the She Says forum. So far all women think that idea is absurd. On the other hand, many men in the thread believe that at least certain parts of church are too feminine. Since there are already 2 threads discussing this, I don't think we need another, but here are some questions I think need to be discussed.......

1. What is it about Church that doesn't appeal to men?
2. How can we make it more appealing?
3. Have men in leadership dropped the ball?
4. Are men, even Christian men, lazy? (FYI, over 80% of women in these forums claim they are not but multiple women accuse men of laziness in the "Is church too feminine?" thread......go figure)
5. Why don't most men like to go to church?

This should be interesting..........[;)]

How many threads do we need on this topic? There are already three or four.

They go exactly where they want to go.

BTW, where are you on most Sundays?

Since this is being discussed in other threads, I'm closing this one. Please go to one of the following threads to continue discussion:

Where Are the Men? (in Ministry Leaders)

Is Church Too Feminine? (She Says - only women may post)

Is Church Too Feminine? (Men Only)

Thanks!
