Funkadelic's "America eats its young" album always creeped me out. You can see it HERE

One of Zappa's weird ones HERE.

There was an album by Bob Marley that had a very striking and disturbing cover. Unfortunately I cannot find an image. It was plain white backgroundwith a barb wire strand running across it. Where the center barb should have been was a fist of a black man, grabbing the wire, with a thin stream of blood running down the arm.

Another really cool one (again cannot find the image) was the original cover to Grateful Dead's Live/Dead album. It was a stage set for the band with a bunch of skeletons.

I always got a kick out of THIS one by Zappa.

The Beatles hard-core must be fuming about that one!

The ones I mentioned:

Yes - Relayer

Yes - Close to the Edge

Other Yes covers

Fight - A Small Deadly Space

The Best Cover By Megadeth Notice the bombed out UN building in the background.

Other Megadeth covers

Earth, Wind & Fire Covers (The small size on this link doesn't do some of them justice)

OK, here is a really strange one: http://mysite.verizon.net/%7Emithrandir2/otherfiles/forums/coverprestontoysfromhell.jpg

I am a friend of the artist. We used to jam together back in college.

Are there some member of the Gretsch Discussion Pages here?

This topic is going on there and some of the same obscure albums are being shared here.

Just a coincidence?

It's one of the most wonderful guitars ever made.

Gretsch Guitar

But I won't hold it against you that you didn't know that.

Back on topic:

Black Flag had some pretty weird ones. So did the Dead Kennedys... but with a band name like that, it's to be expected.

I love that Zappa cover and I'm a Beatles hard-core.

The Stones had one similar, but because of the title I'm not going to link to it. I used to have that LP, but it got lost. Great music, but the title made me cringe.
My all time favorite cover art is THIS Clash one. Not bizarre, just totally cool.
HERE'S a weird Thomas Dolby cover.

That God isn't dead one is very very surreal - whiskey bottles and a syringe...and a pulpit.

It's because that lady on the cover used to be a junkie / alcoholic then became a Christian.
