Funkadelic's "America eats its young" album always creeped me out. You can see it HERE One of Zappa's weird ones HERE. There was an album by Bob Marley that had a very striking and disturbing cover. Unfortunately I cannot find an image. It was plain white backgroundwith a barb wire strand running across it. Where the center barb should have been was a fist of a black man, grabbing the wire, with a thin stream of blood running down the arm. Another really cool one (again cannot find the image) was the original cover to Grateful Dead's Live/Dead album. It was a stage set for the band with a bunch of skeletons.

Are there some member of the Gretsch Discussion Pages here? This topic is going on there and some of the same obscure albums are being shared here. Just a coincidence?

The Beatles hard-core must be fuming about that one! I love that Zappa cover and I'm a Beatles hard-core. The Stones had one similar, but because of the title I'm not going to link to it. I used to have that LP, but it got lost. Great music, but the title made me cringe. My all time favorite cover art is THIS Clash one. Not bizarre, just totally cool. HERE'S a weird Thomas Dolby cover.

ORIGINAL: MindySue69 That God isn't dead one is very very surreal - whiskey bottles and a syringe...and a pulpit. It's because that lady on the cover used to be a junkie / alcoholic then became a Christian.
