When I went to college, I got out of fellowship fall term of my freshman year. Kinda messed myself up. After new years, I started going back to church and a couple I knew on campus went to this Assembly of God, which was as close as I could find to what I was used to. They found out I played guitar and sang so they recruited me for a special and the choir.
The AG has a talent contest for HS juniors and seniors every spring, the winners get scholarship money for college. Sharon entered the contest singing Kris Kristoferson's "Why Me Lord?" and was being accompanied on piano by the wife of the youth pastor. After a couple of practices, the pianist said that the song really needed a guitar accompianiment instead of piano, and she knew "...just the guitarist." Me.
We got married 3 months after I graduated college.

Joel and I meet a christian club called 'the new union' now named "club 3 degrees" in minneapolis, MN
It was my first day of volunteering there and he was playing pool wearing a embodyment t-shirt. we starting talking about what bands we liked. About 7 months later he asked me on a date and the rest is history. we got married at the new union, the last wedding there.
we got married july 20th 2002.
so yeah..

We were in the same 3rd grade class. We were actually boyfriend and girl friend in 5th and 6th grade. Some friends set us up for our senior prom. We have been married for 16 years and have 3 kids.

Christian chatroom on Compuserve (poor man's AOL).
We met in May of 2001 in the chatroom and just chatted on and off for about a month. Chatting turned into e-mails, e-mails turned into instant messaging and instant messaging turned into phone calls. My mom freaked out a little bit (I was 20 and lived at home) but she ended up spending more time on the phone with him than I did! In all fairness, she was just trying to get a feel if he was a creep or not.
In August of 2001, Eric asked my dad, via phone, if he could court me. My dad said yes and Eric flew out to visit me in September of 2001. Two months later, he moved from St. Louis MO to California to be with me. We got married in July of 2002 and it's been the best 6 years of my life.

Fall of 97' when I was a soph in college. Met hubby in crosswalk chat. He was a nanny for a family in FL I was in KS. Our "date nights" were on Friday and Saturdays till midnight when the college computer lab closed and then we'd continue on the phone. Have now been married for 7 1/2 years.

We met here on Crosswalk!!!!!!! We had been chatting for well over a year. But it was not until he was deployed in Iraq that we started talking more seriously. I then flew to Omaha to meet him in person during his R&R leave, then moved to Omaha shortly after he came home. We married 11 months after I moved.

We met online at Christiancafe.com - we married within 3 months!
He lived in Canada and I lived in North Carolina at the time... we married in NC and I moved to Canada. We'll be married 6 years Sept. 28!!!!!!!!!!

We met when we were kids...kind of the boy next door sort of thing. He was a little older and I used to trail around after him. Then we got older and the roles reversed...lol.

We both were Jet Engine Mechanics in the AirForce (Beale AFB). It was in 1986, I was 21, he was 22. Celebrating our 20th anniversary next month.

I was at Tift Baptist Women's College. Jim was an officer in the Army. Tift required us to take 'Social Graces' and the girls were encouraged to go to the military base to attend their formal dinners/ dances to practice what we'd learned.
I was set up on a blind date with a very shy young man. I was also very shy. That didn't work out. My college big sister kept telling me about this guy she had double dated with, saying 'You'll just LOVE him!'
She set us up for the next event and we were engaged two weeks later, married 5 months and 3 weeks later...... 38 years ago this coming October 10th.
She was right!

That's neat Mel. I was there in 1969 - 1970. I lived in Perry from the age of 15 until I went to college.
