Hi Mike, I popped into your thread. I answered question#1, but I am still pondering the 2nd question.

Pretty good, I was sick Sunday and Monday, so it's nice to be feeling better now.

Anyone read the parenting folder lately? There is a girl in there that is insisting parenting is easy. She doesn't have kids....neither do I, but I still know that parenting is NOT easy......... but that got me pondering......how often do the rest of us assume someone else's situation is "easy," when we don't know the whole story. We may think someone has an "easier" time because they are financially well off, but for all we know, they could have severe physical pain... I think that is why God tells us to bear one another's burdens...if we are more willing to bear one anothers burdens, then we are more willing to acknowledge others burdens in the first place...food for thought.....

I do not visit the parenting folder at all although sometimes I think of questions that a typical parent might ask.

Hi Jewel. Hope things are well. What do you do all day? Read? Knit? Write letters? Do you have hobbies?

Hi Bride...I've got the long answer to your question all ready in my head...but my fingers just decided they do NOT want me typing right now(arthritis)...so I'll be back to answer your question as soon as I can.

OK, I'm back....well first of all, my days, as you know are mostly filled with taking care of my sister. My hours used to be 9 am to 3 pm, but when my mom got breast cancer, I took her on full time..so I feed her 3 meals a day, bath her, change her dress her, brush her hair and teeth, clip her nails, etc. I also do all of her laundry and mine, and all the towels. I am also the one that pretty much keeps the cleaning part of the kitchen going, although my mom is back to doing some cooking now. And oftentimes, we'll each just get our own food. As for hobbies I enjoy reading and several different kinds of needlework(X-stitch, embroidery, needlepoint), and going to the gym, and writing and hangin' on crosswalk(frankly, I've been spending TOO much time on here and need to stop-don't worry, not altogether, but this can't be my whole life), and keeping up with friends by email or phone. I used to say I enjoy sewing, but I haven't sewn in ages so I'm not sure that's really true anymore. And no, I don't knit, but I would like to learn to knit and crochet. My most recent project..still not finished was to decorate my bedroom..my sister and I traded rooms and I got rid of a bunch of stuff and my parents bought me a beautiful brass and white bad...my color scheme is ivory and white..I've done a lot but I still have to put up some shelves, hang some pictures, dress the window, and put up a border... when it's finally finished, I plan to post a link to pictures and descriptions. I also love the ocean, but it's about 3 1/2 hours a way, so I don't get to go too often. I also enjoy traveling, although I haven't for while. I also enjoy browsing in antique stores and museums. My favorite hobby thing is miniatures...I have a dollhouse I have been working on for years...and would LIKE to get to it when the room gets squared away, and post pictures of that, too. Of course, way more joyful to me than any of those things is that I am an aunt to two (I don't say their ages and genders on the internet)..and thanks to the sister that isn't their mom, will be an aunt again in October..and also being involved with the children at church. By the way, thanks for asking...you just inspired me that my next post will be a list of my favorite things (not things to do, just things)

Thanks, Shar Mar, glad that piece got noticed. I like to be called Rebekah, or Jewels or OneOfHisJewels, but not One... either of the first 3 are fine.
