Wow that's tough. Maybe Kahlen Arnel from the Sword of truth series. She's sweet, lovable, cute, and absolutely deadly if you get her too riled up.

Hmmm........ you like to live dangerously.

I guess so. Life should be anything but boring.

Nah. I've found that truth is both stranger and much much better than fiction.

I'll have to pass on this one for the moment.

True enough, But it is all just in fun. Besides our truth isn't all that appealing right now is it?

The truth that we can see may not be all that appealing. But I am certain that the truth God has in store for us is going to be phenomenal. (And I don't think we'll have to wait until we get to heaven to see it either)

So true, I have no doubt that you are right.

I don't think I would like Buttercup either for that matter!

But Buttercwup is very good looking and very loyal. Hmmm....

Perhaps Sandra Bullock's charcter in While you were sleeping. First I think Sb is very cute and then the charcter had such a quirky sweetness about her.

Meg Ryan in Sleepless in Seatle, or You've got mail, or just about anything else. I like that sweet innocent (slighty naive) type.

Well now that you mention the movie, Giselle is really cute and very sweet.

Though honestly, she might be too sugary sweet and ultimately get on my nerves.

Still, I wonder if she'd like science fiction movies...

You must have missed the part where she got "angry" and hit Robert. That was a little scary.

What, you mean where she started giggling as soon as she realized what was happening?

What was better was when she went after the dragon to rescue Robert; she had fire in her eyes. Yay for spunkiness!

Heh - this isn't from fiction so much, other than that his on-screen persona could be different than the "real" him ...

But I'd have to say Ty Pennington. I had a crush on him when he was just the carpenter on Trading Spaces (working man, smell of cut wood, sense of humor and all)...

But THEN - on Extreme Home Makeover - how excited he gets, helping all those deserving people ... *swoon*

And people wonder why I like her so much...LOL

I would have to say Remus Lupin from the Harry Potter series...even though Remus has his monthly issues as well, he is kind, intelligent, and extremely patient. I feel he would do well when my temper rivals his.

Ok, I got one. WOLVERINE! He's incredibly worthy of being swooned over! I'd like to cure him of his commitment phobia, lol. We'd have some super mutant freaks for children though.....

It's definitely a toss up between Wolverine and Aaragorn for me. Either one would be just fine for me.

I like the Bruce Wayne idea too. I mean...he's LOADED!!! I could concentrate on pregnancy crisis centers while he saved Gotham from the Joker and Riddler.

Plus my kids could go to really nice Christian schools, and good colleges.

What fictional character would be your perfect mate.
He/She does not have to be from classical fiction. Any book will do.

For me It would be Mr. Knightly from Emma.

Trinity from the Matrix..

Or how about some interesting combos?

Mary Bailey from a Wonderful Life and Cat Woman to kick it up a notch..

Your mention of Knightly.. reminded me of Keira Knigthley... any character of hers will do

You know...I rather like Edmund from the Narnia series. I always pictured him to be the better looking of he and Peter and in Prince Caspian he was.

I don't like the cookie cutter nice guys. A little bit of an edge to them is nice.

Hmm, lately I've read very little fiction or watched movies but I'd say the most outstanding ones I can think of is Mr. Darcy (Colin Firth) from Pride and Prejudice or Captain Von Trapp from Sound of Music is striking even though maybe he is a bit older!

Holy cow, that's a blast from the past! (Which is actually an odd turn of phrase considering the show was set in the 25th century )

I do remember her (Erin Gray), but I was like 10 when that show was on. (It was one of my favorites then. Well, pretty much anything with spaceships was a favorite! But I hated the second season. Just awful.)

I agree!! I could easily fall in love with a guy like that. And yeah, that movie gets me, too. Ne'er a dry eye.

I can proudly say I haven't seen it.

Am I the only one who liked Faramir from LOTR? *swoon*

I love that movie (the Notebook) but Ryan Gosling looks EXACTLY like my ex, mannerisms and everything ... so it really weirds me out to watch anything with him in it.

Especially the Notebook

I can hardly believe no one mentioned Heathcliff.

I had started a thread very similar a couple of years ago but, for the life of me, I cannot remember who was on my list...

Now, I'd have to say Alexi Karamazov for sure. But there was something about Ivan, too.....

Colonel Brandon from Sense & Sensibility...

I'll have to ponder some more.
