I can hardly believe no one mentioned Heathcliff.

Of Wuthering Heights?? He was kinda mysterious, but, well, nah!

I had started a thread very similar a couple of years ago but, for the life of me, I cannot remember who was on my list...

Now, I'd have to say Alexi Karamazov for sure. But there was something about Ivan, too.....

Colonel Brandon from Sense & Sensibility...

I'll have to ponder some more.

Doh! How could I have forgotten Colonel Brandon??? *swoons*

I fell in love with Alan Rickman from that movie.

I remember having this conversation with a female friend a while back about who we would choose from the Jane Austen universe. And she thought Colonel Brandon was ewwwww. I guess it's good we all don't like the same type of people, huh?

My best friend and I are like that. We have never been attracted to the same man. Ever. We don't even like the same type. It works out well because she's more agressive when it comes to pursuing and I'm more...not.

I'd forgotten about Colonel Brandon. He absolutely rocks. Still a little young for me, of course...

This one is easy for me. From the book and TV series - Charles Ingalls - Michael Landon / Little House on The Prarie.

Yah know, I was watching a movie last night ... and realized that based on looks alone, I really have a thing for the "put together" shaved head type of gangster/mafia guys. Like the types that Jason Statham typically plays.

Obviously the personality is lacking something. Like compassion.

I didn't like Heathcliff ... of course, I often don't like the Austen leads ... just a little too soft around some edges for me I guess. And kinda snooty - I can't hold up that type of conversation unless I'm mad. I get very eloquent when I'm angry, he he.

Watch the movie. HE'S the Colonel Brandon I'd swoon over. If I swooned over celebrities. Which I don't.

except for possibly Michael Flatley.

I think the ladies have a huge advantage here. I seldom pay close enough attention to the female characters in most books I read. But I do notice the actresses in movies I see. A little bit of the male vs female thought process difference?

Hey Guys, do you remember the lady characters in the books you read?

Not me. I've outgrown him (kinda) but I always thought he was adorable and oh so fun.

I think there are just more male characters in the books I read?

Then again - most of my answers had to do with on-screen appearance ...

I too have noticed that the guys, apart from John, have not posted anything in this thread.
