Erin, well I hope he gets to come home soon, from your pics he had looked like he gained a little bit... but hopefully it will be soon though.

me either.. even when im tired and trying to go sleep earlier it just can be hard :/ sometimes having the tv on something i have already seen helps...then other times the noise annoys me... or sometimes its like I can stop thinking about things... I have always heard to drink some milk or something can help though...

Speaking of engagement...I just wanted to say that I am excited that today for the first time in months (since becoming pregnant) I can wear my engagement and wedding ring!

I'm having some serious anxiety attacks lately. :(

I had one today and I was supposed to talk to my professor after class.... had the anxiety attack in class but tried to control it (that worked for years but doesn't work much anymore)...so I guess I'll try to talk to him Thursday (the next time that class meets). Ugh. I wonder what my anxiety attack on Thursday will be like.

I hope everyone's doing better than I am.

I've had more than my share of anxiety attacks. I can't plan my life around them because I never know from one day to the next if I'm going to have one. Sometimes I can tell a few hours in advance. Medication has helped lessen them, but not eliminate them.

Erin, yay for Isaac doing so well! Yay for wearing engagement and wedding rings [:) And it's good to see you back in the monthly chat thread.]

Aisha, congratulations on the upcoming engagement! How exciting

Jennifer, ugh to not getting enough sleep. I could definitely use more.

Roberta & Tamara, anxiety attacks...doesn't sound like fun.

Jewel, sounds like you might have your hands full. I usually have about 10-12 subscriptions I check each evening to try to keep current. Most are in Women's Only, but there are a couple in the PFY folder. The one that usually takes the longest to read through is the SAHM/W thread

I know there were others, but I am not remembering right now. Sorry ladies. Hope y'all are well! Seems like one was a new poster (at least to me) so...welcome!

I can tell my cold medication is wearing off (feel miserable) but I don't dare take any more as it keeps me awake at night. Just gotta live with it I guess. Might have to look into the school chats...we'll see how busy life keeps me.

Good Morning! It's early here but I've just come across this thread and I wanted to join (if y'all except me!). I am a new member and actually very new to the whole "Forum" scene. After reading the threads from everyone so far this looks like a place to actually be a part of. I have nosed around a bit since becoming a member so it may take me sometime to get the hang of things.

Hi Vocal Welcome to the forums.

Yay Erin for Issac gaining weight, being off some of his meds, and for wearing your rings. I know when I was pregnant that is the thing that hurt alot not being able to wear my rings.

Anxiety attacks are tough I started getting them after I turned 30.

Hi Vocal--I am relatively new myself--you find the place friendly and sometimes a bit silly but always interesting. Hope Hana blows out to sea!

Good morning ladies. I'm at work for a bit, I wasnt supposed to be but I volunteered. My boss had to take his little girl (age 11) to Children's Hospital (In the same town as Isaac 2 hours away) last night. SHe broke both bones in her arm at cheer leading practice last night. So I'm working for a few hours so he can get some rest and not leave us shorthanded. Then we'll go see Isaac. It is POURING here, and windy and stormy. Whats left of Gustav has made his way up to Arkansas.

I dont have official maternity leave. There are just three of us here so I am basically doing whatever I want. I decided to work some now so not to put undue stress on my bosses and so I could take time off when he comes home. I basically just tell my boss when I am working. He tells me whats days he'll be out of the office and I usually try to cover those as a courtesy. But anytime I need to be gone, its a no questions asked kind of thing. We are kind of like a family here. The only other two people are my boss and his mom. His wife works sometimes but is staying home with their three year old and will come back when he starts Kindergarten. My job is awesome.

Welcome, aisha and vocal. Great to have you join us! Just jump on in. We don't bite. Just nibble a little bit sometimes. LOL!

Aisha, pretty name. Congrats on your upcoming engagement.

Erin, that's great about your rings!

Roberta and Tamara. I know what you mean about panic attacks. I have them too. Not nice. I know some things that trigger them, so I avoid those, but other things, you just never know.

Megan, I hope you're feeling better soon.

Friends in Christ are always nice, Aisha!

Vocal, welcome!!!

Erin, yay for great bosses. That's awesome that you are able to come & go.

Jennifer....that reminds me...my engagement & wedding ring are too big. They measured my finger and told me I needed x size. So we ordered that....because with the two rings together it would be a wider "band" and not slide around. The things constantly slide around (they're one unit sodded together).

Trish----HI! How are you feeling today?

Diva, good to see you

I feel great with Sudafed on board...lousy without it. It keeps me up at night, so I don't take it. Is there anything that gives similar relief OTC that won't keep me awake?

Only two more days of work & then the weekend will be here. Yay!

Hi everybody.

Having a better today than others. Went to the doctor this morning. I've been having problems hearing in one of my ears. Turned out like I expecting. Needed to be cleaned out. The other has been a little bit sore. Wasn't expecting to be told that I have a viral infection in it though. Have a script for just in case it worsens.

What's everybody else up to today?

Good morning ladies!

Hi Vocal and welcome to the boards!

We have a bunch of sickos running around here, including me. I don't think I'll be running any errands today- especially since I don't have a car. Walking around town doesn't sound appealing right now at all.

Trish- Sorry to hear you have an ear infection :( Hope it goes away soon

I feel tired again today lol and this morning I forgot to set my clock so I am very thankful for my sister waking me up! We are searching for my sweetie a new (used)truck.. (so prayers are needed)

Good Morning Ladies!

Thanks for the "Welcomes" from everyone!

Trish - I know all about ear infections! I'm so sorry to hear about that. It's not any fun at all. I hope you get better real soon.

Jennifer - Keep in mind that if they slide around now with the Summer heat, this
Winter when it's cold they will definitely fall off!! Look around as there may be a jeweler in your area that can adjust them in just a day. That's not too long to go without them....it's worth in the long run though!

Roberta - Walking around town sounds awful!! It's nice that you live somewhere that you can walk to town. I live in the boonies! I love it though....lots of privacy!

I'm doing ok today. Just came from the doctor this morning. I was in a very bad car accident four yrs ago. A woman ran a stop sign and hit me in the drivers side and I flipped over many times before coming to a stop. I have been under a doctors care all this time. What a drag!!!! Anyway... my story is that the Angels took more of a beating that day than I did! I know God was watching over me as it could have been so very different. Well, enough about that! It's supposed to be 87 degrees here today and it looks like Hanna has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm but....I live to the N.E of the state in the mountains and we're in a severe drought here. I would like for us to have some rain but it's not gonna come this far. The good news is that it looks like that Hanna won't be as destructive as they thought! YAY!! Have a wonderful day!!

Vocal, I'm glad you weren't more seriously hurt.

I've been to a vocal coach a time or two. Fact is, I love singing. Been in choirs since I was 10. I haven't done it for a while now, and I miss it. I don't know if our church is going to have a Christmas choir this year, but either way, I know I won't be in it again this year. My body just couldn't take it. I was so disappointed when I missed out on it last year. Oh well. Hopefully one day I'd be better and be able to get back to it.

Why do you say you're body couldn't take it? I hate to hear that you're not involved in something that you love. It's great to know that you love music. I love it too!
