Lol. My mom goes to get a colonoscopy; she finds me a doctor. She goes to the ob/gyn; she finds me another doctor... Anywhere she goes, she can always find someone for me. :) But I also hear daily how I should date my lab patner. (Mom just thinks he's so adorable.) My own mind wanders too though; I'm married to all kinds of people in my brain. Hehe.

Way too funny. See, I got married early and that pleased my mom. She was pushing me when before I was done with high school. But that didn't work out so well, so I am not going to push my kids. I keep telling my friend I can't believe he had a son that was so good looking. I met my friend when his son was 12 and now he is getting ready to be a Dr. at some hoity toity college somewhere, but I forget. I just know he is a Southen boy.

Speaking of engagement...I just wanted to say that I am excited that today for the first time in months (since becoming pregnant) I can wear my engagement and wedding ring!

Last time I had a baby, It took me 4 years before I decided to go get the ring resized. Then I lost the rest of the weight and now it is a bit too big. Your baby is a cutie!

Wow, so much has happened! Its really been crazy around here the past several days. My mama will be 76 next week and we're trying to make plans for her birthday, I have the most precious mama in the world! Anyway, I'm a mamas girl too. She still plays the organ for her church and taught piano up until the past couple of years. She just couldn't do it anymore with some health issues that she has. Also, I've been planning a (SURPRISE,,,,SHHHHHH!) Christmas present for her. She has 5 grown children and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a few great great grandchildren. Im planning to have a big family portrait made for her! We live very close to the mountains and my mama lived there and we grew up there as children; so this fall when the mountains are in full color it will make a beautiful backdrop for the picture at our old homeplace.

Solo: I'm so sorry about your nephew and the issues facing your family. My sister just recently married a guy with a boy that's 6 or 7. Anyway, he acts a lot like your nephew as well. His dad has never taught him proper manners and he drives us all crazy when we all get together. The same smacking and rudeness! I'm sorry to say that we too feel very helpless but really the only hope is to place him and your brother inlaw completely in Gods hands and leave it there. Ask everyone you know to pray for the situation too. God will take care of it in His time but be patient, things will get better. Show this boy lots of love, more than you feel like you have at times, and he will know this in his heart and one day you'll find that you can help him as he will open his heart to you.

AWWWWW......cute picture of your puppy!!!! CONGRATS!

Thanks, Vocal. We're enjoying her

Trish, well, we haven't officially named her yet. She hasn't been here a full 24 hours yet. We're leaning towards either Petra or Shamira. I'm thinking she will be a Shamira.

Hmmmm...come on Chiefs....pull it out! DH's Seahawks are down big time so I am unsure if they'll come back. (Football....LOL....it's that time of year).

erin- thats great you can wear your rings agian
(I just thought about this but in winter the lady at store told me in summer my ring would probley fit better because it was slightly big on me in winter...well its still slightly big...)

I hardly ever wear my wedding and engagement ring because 1. it never feels like they fit right and 2. I don't like jewelry that much in general.

Catherine, I don't wear my rings that often either and people act all weird when my husband and I are together because he is not a fan of the wedding ring. I don't get it but I really don't care. I have a pretty ring and I do wear it when we go out and I remember to put it on, but that is it.

Fall is beautiful time of the year and as long as the weather permits an outdoor wedding would be great! Is it going to be a big wedding or a small intimate one?

Yeaaaa, I'm a Seahawks fan too!! I rarely get to see their games cause I'm in SC but my husband and I are planning to go to a game. I've always wanted to go to Washington State!!

Jennifer, as for wedding plans....hmm...I say go wherever you would like. We did the church.

I always wear my wedding ring. I feel weird if its not on and I've only take it off a couple of times to see what my finger looks like without my ring. Lorne wears his all the time too. When we first got married he used to always take it off and play with it. He dropped it once and it went rolling far away at church and I got mad at him so after that he decided it was best to quit playing with it.

Well, I'm outnumbered....J likes Petra (so he says) & he can say that easier than Shamira. She'd be Mira for short. DH came up with the Petra though. So IDK...he did say today that she'll probably be Mira....told me to decide.

Just to add that, in terms of training, the best (ie most successful) dog names are ones which contain strong consonants - they're easier for the dog to hear.

I love fall weddings. If you get a nice day, outside is sooooo perfect. But you need a backup plan just in case.

I can't imagine having a wedding ring and not wearing it?!?! I have a purity ring and if I don't wear it,I feel like I forgot something important and I keep thinking I've lost it! That's funny that your husband sent his ring rolling across the church! One of my guy friends did that the other sunday night, he had his purity ring rolling it around in his hands and accidently shot it up towards the stage at our youth leader! It was all we could do to keep from cracking up laughing!

Yeah...the only reason we didn't is because he is really shy and was already turning ten shades of red, we didn't want to make it any worse! (Although, inside I was dying of laughter!! )
