I was there the entire week after being in the hospital for 8 days, so I wasn't really up for it. But I hated to miss my 34th year. Sorry I missed so many of you. I was doing a lot of interviews for CVM and mostly hanging with friends. I did get Donna's note! Thanks, but sorry I missed you. I was there with Bob, representing The Melody Boys QT. We had LOTS of people complaining that they weren't there. We just told them who to contact. I agree with Gayla's posts and everything she said. It's sad when they ignore our legends. TMBQ's new progect is AWESOME!!!!!!! I also had my own booth, which both were open together. I do plan to be there next year for the 35th time. I will be staying at the Crown Plaza now, not Executive West NO more! But I've stayed there since NQC has been in KY, so I see no reason to change now. Still trying to gain my strength from that trip. It was very hard on me. And now we're trying to move, so it is rough!!!! Please pray for my health to get better.

ORIGINAL: Dinana The first year I went, I got tickets from someone who had season tickets and couldn't go. They were in section 234 and they were TERRIFIC!!! We had oksgfan's tickets this year in section 16 on the floor right on the aisle and we really enjoyed them. I think the best sections are the top of sections 111, 112, 113, 133, 134, or 135 or anywhere in 211,212,213, 233, 234, or 235 but they're very hard to get. You can usually get individual tickets easier than two or more together and I think the best time to look is after February when the season ticket holders turn ones back in that they don't want (or don't pay for them). Thanks so much Dinana!

Our Mon - Wed season tickets are in 133 & 135. Good seats. Up high enough to see over everyone and a good view of the stage and the overhead screens.

For those who have already ordered and received your tickets for NQC 2009, please check them. I just looked at mine again and noticed that the large print on the tickets says NQC 2008. The correct 2009 dates are written in smaller print on the tickets. I just sent an e-mail to NQC to alert them to this possible problem.

I looked at it very closely, with and without my glasses. It sure looks like 2008 to me. But, I will check it again when I get home from work!

Well, the ticket thing is straightened out. And I was finally able to get my hotel reservations made, though it isn't at the Sleep Inn. They were already booked! We'll be staying about 4 miles from NQC but I have already printed out Mapquest directions from the hotel to NQC! Now the question is, how bad (or good) is parking at NQC?

Plenty of parking. You may have to walk a ways. They have shuttles late in the afternoon when you have to park way out. Cost this year $6.00 a day.

The bad thing to me is that since I have never been to NQC before I want to see everything, but I know that isn't possible.

Can you make yourself into three people. If so, you can see most everything. As you say it's impossible to do everything. There is a choice every hour on what you're gonna be doing. The only time there is no decision is the evening concerts in Freedom Hall. There is nothing else, except the exhibit hall going on at that time.

Unfortunately, I have not yet perfected the human cloning technique so there will be things I will have to miss at NQC!

You just need to get a program book as soon as you get there and see what your choices are and make your decisions on which are most important!!

I ended up staying at the Red Roof...about 5 minutes from the convention and had no complaints, very clean & friendly. I think I paid like $69 per night or something like that. Im also going to the 2009 Branson Gospel Music Convention. It was just announced yesterday: www.bransongmc.com I thhink is the website they have up.
