The person Lee was texting obviously had insight or knowledge about the entire scenario. Not too many people had that.
I have a feeling it is someone we have not been introduced to yet...or at least not anything more then just in passing. With the way they were going the past few seasons...dragging out some plots and story lines...I get the feeling this may just be the "plot of the season"...and if that's the case then we won't be given much at one time.

I think there are 2 possibilities here..

1) Lee and the geek are the spies, like you all have been saying.

2) Palmer and Lee still have a relationship and tried to hide it by saying it's over. The text was Palmer asking Lee if the bosses suspected anything.

The flashback Lee had of the shooting made it look like this possiblity isn't the case.

she could still be the culprit, but the text could have nothing to do with that.

I thought the whole interrogation and handling of the suspects a bit out of the norm for the show. Seemed too easy and loose.

But wasn't there also a flashback earlier of someone else at least stealing the passcard? Maybe the flashbacks are what 'could have happened'...

Another thing- why did Lee tell whats-his-name (the guy she later shot) that Leon and Gibbs suspected someone of spying? Shouldn't that have been hush-hush?

Lee is obviously getting information from somewhere. She seems to know more than what she's saying. There was something that didn't seem quite right about the way she responded concerning the phone call from the dead guy.

And there's always been something a little fishy about Palmer ....

Last night left that all behind. Tony is back. (big surprise) It was a good epi.

Was it just me or did that episode have a distinctly "JAG" feel to it? I thought the show was no longer being done by Bellarisario but his name is still there as producer and it sure had his earmarks.

I see Vance is being introduced in the opening credits now. He wasn't last week, was he?

LOL, right down to renaming the carrier Tony was assigned to. In the season finale last spring, Vance told him he was being assigned to the USS Ronald Reagan. But in the first two episodes of this season he's on the "USS Seahawk" the made-up carrier name that was used in JAG any time they had to do something involving a carrier. The funny thing is, it had the wrong ID number. In JAG, it was always CVN 65 (which is actually the ID for the "Enterprise") but in "Agent Afloat" the ship was CVN 74, which is the "John Stennis". And just to make things even more confusing, the captain was wearing a CVN 65 - USS Seahawk hat, presumably a left-over from JAG.

I wasn't confused...I just saw "hat."

Yeah - last week the director said Tony had been transfered to the Seahawk.

You must be a navy guy to recognize the vessel numbers.

FYI, episodes are available on Netflix's instant watch the day after each airing. They don't take down the other episodes like cbs.com does, so you could still watch the pilot if you missed it. I like Netflix's movie player better than cbs.com's.

Nate and I just watched this week's episode. I thought it felt like the NCIS we all know and love. We have been watching JAG lately and it didn't feel at all like that to me.

I would never have noticed the ship numbers. Talk about being detail oriented!

Oh, and I've never seen JAG, so I cannot compare the two shows.

I am glad that Tony is back.

Leon is definitely trying to work his way into the team. My daughter has said she likes him now. She didn't like him at all last season.

I am probably the only one dorky enough to be excited that that was the "Stennis"... I toured the 'real-life' Stennis when my cousin was stationed on it... And, yes, sadly, I did try to read the hat too

I loved last nights epi, partly because of the interplay about dusty/rusty skills and having learned new skills. I totally had the lead medic (with the cough) pegged as the bad guy- duhhhhhhh toooooo obvious I know. I don't like Vance's power plays 'proving' that he is 'in charge' (telling Tony first...) There's something up with that dude...

Yes he was, just before Ducky.

Speaking of Ducky, has David McCallum been sick or something? He does not look well. I mean I know he is in his 70s now but he has not looked well on the first two episodes this season.

JAG was on for ten years and is rerun every weekday morning on the USA network and you have never seen it? Wow!
