Many times.
When I first graduated HS, on my summer job there were a couple of guys there who made it their life's mission to make sure I did not leave there a virgin. One even had his girlfriend try to seduce me.
There was a job I worked at where one of my coworkers HATED christians. He would spend hours each day cursing me under his breath, and would give people in the shop misleading advice on my blueprints. He actually got suspended for 30 days without pay when the boss found out about that one.
There are many more but those 2 will suffice.

Yeah they did. Fortunately the summer job was done in Sept and I went off to college. THe other one lasted about 3 years.
I prayed for him a lot. My immediate supervisor and another coworker were believers also and they got flack from him as well.
One day he came in with lots of bruses and cuts on his face (heard he had a serious fight with his wife) and the Lord almost knocked me off my chair with the need to pray. I found myself saying "I am praying for you and God is going to heal all that up." Jack just looked angry and Fred (our boss) and Grant both looked scared. I prayed (silently) and for the next 3 hours Jack would go to the bathroom every few minutes, passing my desk on the way. He always had his hand covering his face. About noon, he came out of the bathroom and showed me his cuts and bruised face - they were all in different places. I am convinced that God did heal him and to deny it, he re-injured himself.
About 6 months after I left that job Fred called to say Jack had a massive heart attack and had died.

(I think I've told this story before; If everyone/anyone is sick of it, let me know. I'll delete it.)
When I was in college, I had a girlfriend. She was Baptist; I was Catholic. We were very much in love and were talking about marriage.
Then she started school at Ohio University and joined the Baptist Student Union, there. She went on a couple missions and became very active in the group. During this time, she and I stayed very close. It was a long-distance relationship, but we were still talking about what our life together would be like. Her friends in the B.S.U., though, took exception to the fact that she was dating a Catholic. I started getting messages about how I wasn't right for her, and how she needed someone who believed what she did. They started telling her the same thing.
Eventually, stuff started being presented to her by her friends that Catholics were not Christians, but people who worshipped statues and the Virgin Mary. One even took her to hear a speaker at a church who went on and on about how the Catholics were actually some moon-cult from ancient times, and how they don't believe the same as Baptists. (I think that Jack Chick cartoon tracts were even given out, but I'm not sure about this).
I wasn't a Christian in their eyes, and they started to wear on her. She started asking me questions about my faith and questioning what was going to happen if we got married.
At the same time, there was another young man in the B.S.U. who had taken an interest in my girlfriend. Her friends started pressuring her to go out with him, and she relented. A few days later, I got a message from one of her friends telling me about this. She even brought the young man onto a BBS I hung out on (too keep in contact with my girlfriend) and introduced him to me on there as "her new boyfriend." She basicly told me that I'd been replaced.
I confronted my girlfriend on it, and a fight ensued. I did a very poor job of handling my temper, I admit. Everything is a blur for those days. In the end, I sent her back a picture I had of her that I tore up into little pieces in anger. About a week later, she sent me back the ring I'd given her.
The people in the B.S.U. were over-joyed, and I was even conveniently informed when she and this new boyfriend of her's got engaged and later married.
I've never wanted to die so badly in all my life, and it was all because I was Catholic. This wouldn't be the last time that I'd have to deal with this, too, and it wouldn't be the first time the attacks came from Baptists, either. It was, however, the most painful. I still real from it today.

lord have mercy, thats horrible. My best friend growing up was catholic. (he is now a protestant pastor) I never understood the idea that catholics are not christians.

Thanks. That point in my life ended up bringing up a lot of questions for me. To this day, I don't feel God's made it right.... close, but never right.

Harassed because I believe? Yes, daily.
Persecuted not "for" my belief, but "because" of my belief. Doubly persecuted having grown up in a working class family who held steadfast to those beliefs of conservative righteousness.
The ultra-wealthy social elites, who regardless of their morals, contribute enough of their wealth to politics & are then given an illusive title of a political constituent , persecute us daily with their purchased advantage over our social & judicial system.
It is admitted that individuals can be corrupt or perhaps testimonies purchased, but argued that combined juries can not. Do not ever allow yourself to be so naive to fall for that.
As long as a soul remains righteous on this horrid earth, it will be harrassed by the insidious.

Death threats and hate mail, on a nearly daily basis, count? How about being cursed on national TV by prominent leaders of the Word of Faith movement?

Don't despair! What you have experienced as a Catholic I've experienced as a Protestant.
I left the Catholic faith and am now a Protestant. My brother was angry with my decision for years. I felt God wanted me to put to rest the anomosity between us. He and I have reconciled recently. Even so, my brother tried to challenge my Protestant beliefs. What I said to him is that we are to support each other in the faith we both share--not fight or argue with each other!

I don't know if this would fit into harassment territory but I would say it was more of a mocking of my faith.
I just so happen to wear a crucifix ring. A guy at work mentioned it a few times but never really said much about it. One morning he did though. He said why do you wear that ring, don't you know you are not supposed to have any graven images. I didn't reply to that. But then he started asking why I believed in that, what did Jesus ever do for me, and in a real mocking way, he said oh he died for me, and chuckled. I got a little po'ed at that point, but didn't know what to say. I just said that is right, he did die for me, and for you. But we were in a meeting, the day was starting and I fumed over it for a half hour or so. I wound up going over to him later, and he said he was just joking, after I asked him why he did that. He told me he was raised a Jehovahs witness, and they didn't believe in graven images or anything like that. I said that is true, we should not have idols, but I do not worship my ring, it is a reminder for me of what the Lord did on my behalf. We talked for 10 or so minutes, he asked questions, I tried to answer. I hoped he would want to talk about it later on, but he never did.
So that is my story.

yes i have been harrased because of my beliefs. and i think its sad that making fun of religion is almost acceptable in media. it seems people jump all over racist and sexist remarks in media, and so they should, but nobody is condemming bigotry against religion.
a true shame.
