I voted for Tim. He has been a strong favorite of mine for years and I love his voice and his stage presence. But this was a struggle for me because I just got the new Gold City cd and it is GREAT! Aaron is amazing and in my heart I might think he is a teensy weensy bit better if you are talking about voice only. But Tim is still the guy. I have never seen Gold City in person but I have been on 2 cruises with EH&SS as well as seeing them in concert 3-4 other times. That's pretty good since we live in California and don't get to see many groups! But I have quite a few of Gold City's projects and I wonder if they maybe would be my favorite if I ever got to know them. Anyway they are both such great basses and great groups that it really doesn't matter!

I just cannot make a choice between them. I have seen them both several times, including Tim when he was with Poet Voices as well as SSQ, and Aaron with the Anchormen, PSQ, and Gold City. I really like them both, and I have seen performance growth in both of them since their early days.

These are the bass singers from my two favorite quartets. While Gold City is my overall favorite quartet, Tim got my vote for best bass singer. As a George Younce fan, my favorite bass singers are usually the ones who can sing smooth solos rather than those who can hit the lowest notes. I think Tim is a little better on these type of songs (ie "Plan Of Salvation" and "If This Is What God Wants") than Aaron. However, Aaron has developed into my second favorite bass singer, and he may get even better.

I have seen both Tim and Aaron in concert. I must say that I think Aaron is definitely the better bass singer so I voted for him.

I voted for Aaron. I met Tim when he was with Poet Voices and I liked him. I have seen Gold City a lot more than EHSS but I just believe that out of the two choices Aaron is a much better bass. I have followed his career through Anchormen, PSQ & now Gold City. I also just love talking to Aaron. He is a really funny guy! I hope he stays with Gold City for many years to come. I so hate that I will not be able to see Saturday in Dacula.
