Wow, that's interesting. I didn't know that.

I read, read, read a lot. We got to the library once a week. I don't have to search the stacks because I always have quite a few books on the hold shelf (my library is small so I actually have most of my books sent from other libraries.) I have always been a reader so it's not anything different for me.

I also love crossword puzzles. I challenge myself every day with a few of them. Our Saturday puzzle runs a Canadian one with some french words which I love and I love the Sunday crossword puzzle (since it's the hardest of the week). Dh thinks it's funny because I'm always showing him how well I did (and I always want to put the ones that I completely finish on the fridge.)

I also plan to get back into French. It's not so much keeping my mind sharp, but I'm definitely a life long learner. Because we plan to put our kids in French immersion I figure I'll brush up on my French soon.

Me, too! Hubby is getting ready to go to graduate school and I'm jealous. LOL.

Oooh I'm jealous too! LOL! I hope to get my Master's degree once all of our kids are in school full time. But if I can't do that I still hope to take classes (I'm contemplating doing distant learning through my university now even.)

I'm planning on going to school once the kids are more independent learners. Depending on how fast Timothy learns to read that might be in as little as four years.

Exercise is one of the best things for keeping my mind clear. Fresh air, time alone and getting my heart pumping. Also, being creative, or doing something different from my usual routine - stretching different parts of the brain.

I don't know if my mind is so much mush as trying to juggle so many things a home, kids, work, helping my husband with his business(es). My life is quite manic. Mums do have to juggle a lot but there is something that those pregnancy hormones seem to do as well.

My spellings and grammar are usually hideous. I can actually spell quite well and believe it or not I am quite good at essay writing, however on CW if I post its nearly always done in a hurry, rarely proof read and it shows - I don't mean to be disrespectful but it just isn't a priority!

Lexie, I'm half way through my degree which I am doing through distance learning (Open University). I'm currently studying 'Challenging Obesity' which only takes about 4 hours a week and there is no exam - it counts 15 points toward a degree (360 points - degree). I'll be starting my third 60 point course in January.

By the time I get my degree in health and social care I will have been studying for 8 years on and off but no debt!!!!yay!!

That's a very good point. I function much better if I get out and take a walk somewhere or do something out of the routine.

That is cool! The distance learning I would do wouldn't get me a degree (they don't offer it that way, just classes) but there are a few subjects I wouldn't mind doing the introductory classes that they offer.
