This thread has been in my heart for weeks now. The inspiration for it came as a result of having one of those "I don't want to do this mom thing ANYMORE" moments. My youngest, who just transferred to a new school has been "transitioning"  and testing our patience BIG TIME(but today his progress report showed ALL A'S and 1 B---God is good!!). It got me to thinking about the wonderful, magnificent, totally awesome responsibility and job we have as mothers(dads we luv u too).....and how I desire to encourage ALL moms to keep doing the best THAT YOU KNOW HOW......it all works out in the end.
I can testify to going thru an EXTREMELY difficult time with my oldest when he was younger. I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER thought I'd make it thru that storm but God is faithful!!!
So, in pure "crosswalk awards" fashion(Uh, you're not familiar with CW awards??? Mosey on over to the general faith folder and check it out. A little birdie told me that another round of nominations will be coming soon). For now.............LET'S.........APPRECIATE..........OUR..........FELLOW.....MOMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doing it all alone. What strength, what fortitude, what perserverance!!!!! Keep doing the best that you know how. If no one ever tells you that you're awesome...I celebrate you. Other moms celebrate you. I don't know what it's like to be a single mom........and gosh, I hope to NEVER find out but you girls KEEP DOING YO' THANG  .
Breastfeeding moms.......  . Those ladies who can "whip it out"  in the Am and the PM. Who endure the pains of engorgement, leaking, the baby who will cry for HOURS until the smell and touch of mommy is there to comfort them. God bless you moms..............
The bottlefeeding moms...... . With the little ones, you get up in the middle of the night, heating up that milk to just the right temperature. Your wrist becomes the "milk pool party" assuring that it's just right for baby. Thru countless, cans of forumlas, thru washing the same bottles...... over and over. God bless you moms!!!!!!!!
Working moms..........WHOOHOOOO . HOW DO YOU DO IT???????  You bust your buns at the "9 to 5", get dinner on the table, clean, wash, organize, go over home work, bathe...on and on and on. God bless you moms.......what SUPERMOMS you are!!!!!!
STAY AT HOME MOMS!!!!!!!!!!!GOTTA GIVE A SHOT OUT TO MY GIRLS!!!!!!! . Day in and day out.......the same routine!!. The lonliness, the need to have "me" alone time, the bordome. You moms are awesome!!!!!!!
Okay all, you get the picture. I've surely missed many "categories" of moms. Can you think of any??? Than let's encourage our moms. Give us your MOST CREATIVE CATEGORY OF MOMS(as you see I haven't been very creative) KEEP THIS THREAD FUN !!!!!!!! And let's celebrate the most challenging, wonderful,totally awesome, position we have in this world!!!!!

Hats off to the...........
Spend all day preparing a meal,cleaning the home,taking care of the family business,picking up the kids from school,going over homework, feeding the little ones,putting them to bed,shaving your legsanddolling yourself up for the DH that's gonna get some lovin' WITHOUT complaining mom................YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!

Got a special place in my heart for the........
Overwhelmed at times, the sit on the bathroom floor crying your eyes out feeling like you'll never be the mom that you want to be, pleading with God for help and then drying your eyes and leaving that bathroom with a resolve to never give up mom..........
I've been there.......and it gets better mom......we love you.....don't give up!!!!!!!!

Can I list 4 awards?
1. Birth moms who have decided to give another family the ultimate gift of their flesh and blood. Their selflessness builds other families. What incredible love and strength you have!
2. Adoptive moms who have arms spread wide open to receive a child that God has led to their family via the adoption process. What a wonderful opportunity for you to bless a child with your family's love.
3. Moms-at-heart who are single or struggling with their fertility or their spouse's fertility, or weren't married during their fertile years. You're a mom at heart in my book even though there might not be a baby's room down the hall from yours yet or ever. Your faith is amazing.
4. Grandma Moms who are helping part-time or full-time to raise their grandbabies. You've done it with your own and now you are helping with raising the newest generation. What a generous spirit you have.

Thank you Jeannie, that would be me..I have not given up yet, though.
And I want to add...hugs to all those who aren't parents, but are aunts and uncles and who strive to be very good ones.
And to all stepparents..that is a tough role.

How about The Stay-at-Home Turned Classroom Volunteer, Shuttling Kids Between Activities (often in several different directions), Participating in Carpools, Going On Field-Trips, Making Sure Lunches are Packed and Homework is Completed, Running to the Library for Last Minute Research Materials - Not Really a Stay-At-Home Mom, Mom.

So in all fairness, I must mention the...............
Are you kiddin me.....a thong  . If I put on one of those things it'd get lost in there, moms. You're comfortable in the sweats and don't have time for stilleto's cause you're always runnin takin care of this and that........we love you moms.......KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!

And those FOSTER MOMS who show love and acceptance and care for children who aren't theirs and put up with all the stuff that the kids have and keep on loving -- your are truly God's servants
---the I have to work to support my family mom who struggles every day to leave her kiddos because she needs to provide for her family and life just didn't turn out how she wanted it to...

Thank you! I have been that mom so many times.
How about those hubby's gone way too much but I keep him the head of our home, fiercely proud of their army/air force/navy/marine/coast guard man, protecting the homefront while he's gone, dealing with all of the kids' tantrums because they miss Daddy too, crying in her bed alone, and then getting up and kicking butt because they have to, beacons of God's amazing grace and daily mercy military moms? Love you all and THANK YOU!!!

How could I forget:
The my babies are in heaven Mom... who are still moms in their hearts and look forward to seeing their little ones someday
Then there's the Step-Moms who are raising children who aren't their own, but love them anyway and would do everything they could for them...

to the "can't carry a tune in a bucket walking through wal-mart singing to the baby who decided that the produce aisle was a good time to freak out and not caring one bit what the non-parents think" no matter if you are a biological parent or not it is a tough and rewarding job and kudos to everyone who helps raise those special miracles from God.......no matter who is watching

TO ALL MOMsNO MATTER WHO YOU ARE YOU HAVE THE HARDEST JOB THAT NEVER ENDS. MINE ARE 27, 23 AND 14. IT IS THE BEST JOB BUT THE HARDEST. iT IS VERY REWARDING AND VERY DRAINING. tHANKS BE TO GOD FOR MY 3 BABIES AND THE 2 TAHT ARE IN HEAVEN. hE HAS BLESSED THRU ALL TEH HARD TIMES.
