Thanks, Dee Dee! My first time ever to the desert, it was spring. The cacti were blooming all over the place. It was such an incredible sight! I would suggest to you, however, that the barren places are also beautiful in their own way. For some reason, we seem to be blind to that beauty. I wonder if that's another deception of the evil one.

Hi Maggie. How are you?

I noticed this afternoon that I am no longer being notified of new post. I am randomly checking threads I subbed to see what I may have missed.

I can't believe that it is already Thursday. I made a special effort to be here when the new forums started so that I could learn with everyone else. I have spent a lot of time in CW. I guess it is true time goes fast when you are having fun.

See you later.

Hey Lynn!

Yeah, I just noticed when I came back in after being away for 8 hours that I have no new messages in any subscribed threads. THAT'S weird. It's also a pain but I'm trying to remain patient as all the bugs get ironed out. That was a smart move on your part to be part of the learning curve with everyone else. I think it helps.

I'm not feeling well physically and mentally I'm feeling overwhelmed by a lot of things I need to do and just don't have either physical or mental energy to do. I've spent most of the day in bed.

Thanks, Diane. I'll get through this. I figure I'm going to be up late tonight because of all my sleeping. I don't have the mental energy to do much thinking and no physical energy to do other things so I'm going to format the new edition of my book to get it up online. I've removed the old edition already.

LOL! It's okay, Sharon. It's going to take us ALL time to find the things we're accustomed to.

Good day Maggie. I am getting ready to go run errands. I saw were I had unread messages (glad that feature is up and running again) in your thread so I wanted to give you a shout before I took off.

I'm getting bad. I posted before I finished. I don't know what I was thinking. At first I thought something was happening in the forums than I realized that it was just my absent mind.

How are you doing today Magge? I pray you are feeling better and all goes well for you!

I just had a chat with Mo the first time on the new forums. I told her I missed her thread so that I could keep up with her.

See you later.

Hi Lynnie! I just wokek up. I stayed up till about 6 working on putting the new edition of my book online. That job's not done yet and the book still needs editing but I decided that the editing could wait. I have grown to really dislike the first edition of the book but want SOMETHING available so there it is. I'm going to keep working on it now and figure it should all be up in about 3 hours or so (without interuptions from others or digressions on my part). Have a good day!

I just came back from doing battle with a Canadian electronics giant and winning.

I took my palmtop in for repairs back in February (I think it was). After a few weeks they returned it saying there was nothing wrong but they hadn't replaced the screen as I had requested and the folks at the store agreed it didn't work so we sent it back.

I just went to get it back the second time. The screen STILL didn't work. I was angry. What's the point of sending the device for repairs when they don't DO the repairs. I don't know who suggested it first but they finally agreed to give me a new one. I should say SO!!!! Whew!

But THEN they told me that the 3-year extended warranty I had purchased last August was now ended. Say WHAT!!!!! I tried to use logic on the girl but of course she is tied to what she's told to do and would not budge. I was livid. What good is an extended warranty if it doesn't go the length of time for which it's purchased? It's not MY fault if they sell me a defective product and need to replace it or if their repair department on the other side of the country doesn't know how to do their job. That warranty should last the entire 3 years no matter HOW often they have to replace the product they sold me.

Finally I asked to speak to her supervisor. She went to the phone and spoke for a short time. I figured she was filling him on background for when he came to deal with this very irate customer who wasn't all that quiet or soft spoken.

Well, would you believe it? She came back to where I was and said, "Okay!" Wow! So easy!

Cool, eh? So now I'm somewhere between feeling victorious and ready to do battle with anyone who crosses me .

Wooooo hooooo! The new edition of Searching for Love is now up-loaded in its entirety. Though the story is the same, the telling of it is quite different from before (I think) and easier to read. I've not finished editing it, however, so anyone who wants to give me comments/suggestions/corrections can use the link at the bottom of any page of the book or send me a PM here.

I know everything and especially the homepage is very simple still but gradually that will change. I'm a slow mover. I want everything done yesterday but I just don't have what it takes to do that.

And great that you got your book uploaded!!! I bookmarked the link so I can get back to it easily. Must be a relief to have that done as I know you have been working hard on it. ((((Maggie))))

What link do you have, Sharon? The very original one isn't valid anymore. To get to the Table of Contents go to www.magdaleine.com/SFL/contents.html
