It takes at least five weeks to process all the Medi-Care/MassHealth paperwark before they can repair wheelchairs. I've been waiting for 6 weeks on mine, and John's been waiting three.

Yeah, but we have so much other stuff going on that we don't notice the wait.

Well, Hillary took the West Virgina Primary...I was watching "The View" this morning and they were asking people who they were going to vote for. And on woman said that she was not going to vote foe Obama (sp?) because he was Muslim. She actually truelly believes this. Talk about not knowing the canidates (sp?).

I know he lived in a Muslim country for about three years in his childhood. He professes to be a Christian but attended a very liberal church denomination in America. His stance on individual issues should be a better indicator. Being that he has no understanding of the War in Iraq and leans more towards pro-choice, I would venture to say those are red flags. The whole Iraq situation is important to me so it's a factor for me.

IF he is a Muslim though, I would not vote for him based on that alone either. That would be obvious.

Well, it is Wednesday. The last Wednesday of the semester. No more long days...With a 9:00 class in the morning and a 5:00 class in the evening and not being able to go home in between classes.

I didn't know Huckabee well enough but I am sure he was a good candidate.

The VOG is back and this time, I feel more drained than the last time it came.

Good morning, everyone!

Trishy said something about another luau happening, so I thought I'd offer my services to have Igor bring over a pineapple upside down cake!

Ha!

Well if we have another luau we have to plan a specific day and time and then invite some people over...a planned chat time! Anyone wanna propose a day?

The VOG is so bad this time that when I woke up this morning, I smelled the sulfur.

It even worse on the Big Island. The black dust from the Vog is falling on flowers and other produce and choking out the light killing flower which are used for leis and locally grown veggies.

Yikes! And I feel another headache coming on as a result of the VOG.

Hey I started a neat thread in Faithwalk Check it out! I really would love your input. In fact, for what I shared there, I think I will mention to my Rabbi and one of my friends to discuss.

Okay, perhaps I missed it, but what is VOG? Originally I thought you were talking about a modified POG.

Vog is a portmanteau (blended word) from the words "volcanic" and "smog," and is a volcanic smog formed when sulfur dioxide and other pollutants emitted by an erupting volcano mix with oxygen and moisture in the presence of sunlight. The term is most often applied to the island of Hawaii, where the Kilauea volcano has been erupting continuously since 1983. Kilauea emits an estimate of 2,000 tons of vog every day.

Nope POG and VOG are qiute different.
